I have a spirit of a white dog that's followed me around throughout my life. The craziest place he's appeared to me was in the middle of the bush in south Africa. No one else around or any home for probably hundreds of miles as we were about 6 hours into the bush. I think he may be some guardian or familiar to me but I'm not sure.

Neat, have you read pic related? What do you think of these stories?

The only thing I found sketchy was the idea that a foreigner would be able to interact meaningfully with local spooks. I believe there is a concept called "smell of the blood" that means race (and family) matters in paranormal experiences.

There are times where every fiber of my being is screaming and I get those weird shivers that travel. The only thoughts in my head are to keep my eyes straight forward and let whatever is there leave on its own. My hearing gets extraordinarily better and I can just hear something 'off'. Eventually everything is fine and I can go about with my business.

When I was younger I used to see awful things at night that blended in with my nightmares to the point I couldn't tell when I was asleep and when I wasn't. I remember one night I was afraid and asked to be in my parents bed. I couldn't fall asleep because this giant person was standing at the foot of the bed staring at me. I woke up the next morning somehow even though I don't know when I fell asleep. I know I was awake and having a staring contest with whatever it was the entire night, but I still woke up in the morning.

There was also another time when I was younger when I kept dreaming of a girl that died. I was maybe 5 or 6, but I knew she was the most important person that will ever be to me. Remembering those dreams fucks me up to this day. A few years ago I tried having lucid dreams by constantly thinking I will dream of the girl every 30 minutes for everyday for a week. I gave up after it failed.

Late teens, early twenties. Kind of weird because I was only in kindergarten at the time. Dyed blue hair. On the pale side. She worked at a carnival running the ferris wheel even though we never had one where I live. I don't remember a single thing we talked about, just deep unending sadness when she died. I still feel it when I think of her.

>2 kilometers from the town

The entire class of 10 year olds would sprint up hill the last half kilometer because there were wolves and mosquitos the size of your fist all along that stretch of road.

I always found it funny because I was a bit less retarded and knew the local wolves weren't going to attack a group of 80 very loud people on a well lit road that sees semi-regular automobile travel when there's no shortage of small and medium sized critters in the woods.

Also mosquitos that large are female and don't attack.

The benefits of having competent parents that have actually experienced the world outside of urban convenience cannot be overstated.

>spoopy shit

A couple of guests committed a double suicide like 2 days after we arrived for our first trip(we went there every winter for 4 years in a row) and people, including adults, would always come up with ghost stories about how they were visited in the night or saw people staring at them through the windows or heard clacking noises coming from their balcony.

What those people probably didn't know is that it was really easy to travel between balconies and floors by jumping between them and we'd literally do that all the time to play dice at 2AM(so well past bedtime) and spy on the girls(although the girls tended to spy on us more, which I always found a bit weird. Then again I used to run around chasing people with my peniscopter). Looking back our entire generation was full of some real creeps and weirdos.

So I suppose you could say we wuz ghosts and shiiet.

The large mosquitos are male and feed on nectar.

The small mosquitos are female, and use blood to fuel the spawn cycle.

That's pretty much the only thing that's common across all mosquito species. Type of nectar or what animal the blood comes from, what kind of water they lay their eggs, the shape of the eggs, what the nymph looks like and feeds on, if the male impregnates one female or a thousand…. almost everything else among the mosquito species is really different. They've been here since there was creatures with blood on land to feed on, and they're probably the most divergent multicellular species on the planet.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosquito

>Adult mosquitoes usually mate within a few days after emerging from the pupal stage. In most species, the males form large swarms, usually around dusk, and the females fly into the swarms to mate.

>Males typically live for about 5–7 days, feeding on nectar and other sources of sugar. After obtaining a full blood meal, the female will rest for a few days while the blood is digested and eggs are developed. This process depends on the temperature, but usually takes two to three days in tropical conditions. Once the eggs are fully developed, the female lays them and resumes host-seeking.

Here we go again: I'll spoonfeed you, you fucking moron.

>>684632

>There were wolves and mosquito(e)s the size of your fist all along that stretch of road

lets ignore that wolves are the size your fist, and focus only on the mosquitoes, shall we?

>Also mosquito(e)s that large are female and don't attack

Okay, the size of your fist is clearly bigger than 1/8" so he's clearly imlying here that THE LARGER mosquitoes are the females, then directly stating THAT FEMALE MOSQUITOES DON'T ATTACK (drink blood).

This was called out, and corrected in

>>684637

By stating that yes, indeed, females are the larger of the two sexes, but that there was an error, in which females DO DRINK BLOOD. This implies that it's the males that DON'T DRINK BLOOD (attack).

You then dove into the topic, with

>>684866

>The large mosquito(e)s are male and feed on nectar

which while it disagreed with part of >>684632, and therefore was partly right, you were still wrong, by stating that the males were larger than females, as they are smaller (and drink nectar solely).

Still following me, dipshit? We're not done yet, so get up, stretch your legs, grab something to drink; it's undoubtedly taken you a while to get this far.

Okay, now >>684869 comes along with a picture just for you, to make things easier for your thick skull to absorb the information: a female mosquito, next to a male mosquito. This was to show the size comparison between the two. Admittedly, it would have made things easier for you to digest, if I had drawn over the image, with a male and female gender icon next to each, so you didn't have to read the lower portion. The next image is text, from a pest control site. This states that females are LARGER than males, AND they DRINK BLOOD, whereas the males are smaller, and don't. The rest of the information pertaining to what males subsist on is irrelevant at this point, as it's not the topic of this discussion.

>>684880 This fucking world class post comes along, that adds fuckall to the discussion that hasn't already been divulged (accurately) in other posts (mine).

>>684895

Then you wonderfully regrouped with

>Females are the ones that feed on blood

Great, so you get the super fundemental idea here that females are parasites. Then you attempt to imply that you somehow understand which sized mosquito is which, while not identifying your prior stances of them being smaller than males (incorrect).

Crack a book, nigger.

But that's not wrong, the male mosquitos are much larger than females. I for one have never been bitten by the larger type of mosquito, the one that's an inch to a few inches long. I've only ever been bitten by the tiny mosquitos.

Ergo the males are the larger type, I don't need 1000 word wall to prove I'm right, I just need people to read a few words and put 1+1 together.

Other than weird ass lights (not gonna talk about, its deep shit, spooky to me & happening right now)

Theres a sound of a rock being throw, it happens right around my house

I live in the suburbs so theres a lot of houses near me, the other houses always get a rock thrown at them

Its mostly at night, but every now & then when its still daylight, but not in the afternoon or morning

Its usually at a specific house, but its happened around other houses & at my shed

Theres no explainable way it could happen, it starts up in places where its not possible

It once hit one of those watercooler bottles I had next to my shed & it was loud as fuck

Again, theres no explainable reason it could be happening, my father & I have almost recreated the sound before, but it was really hard

I had to drop the rock on a sheet of wood to get it right, It reminds me of the accounts of how demons can just summon falling rocks at houses, it like the rocks just appear in air

Its not niggers or anything, it happens in total silence & near me in areas I know for a fact nothing is there, and theres nothing that can cause any sounds similar either, no animals, no machinery, no people, no weather, nothing

spooky

In my house, for a bit, there was something my family & I called the wall ghost

It was a ghost that would appear in the doorway, peeking it's head through for a split second

Its only happened a few times, but we got a lot out of it

The first time, my father thought it was me, he checked, wasn't me

He said it had a child like white round face

It happened again to him (kinda) but mostly just forgotten about

Then one night it happened to me

I was laying in bed, about to fall asleep, but I saw something peek though the doorway

My room was dark, but the wall in the hallway was lit up

I saw the outline of it

Going by that info, that means its affected by light, as if its not just some ethereal ghost, but say a dimensional traveler

That was the last time we really saw it

It was the first time I ever saw a ghost of any kind

It wasn't a normal occurrence, stuff like this doesn't happen to us

My family has had spooky ghost shit before, but not at this house

I call it the wall ghost because researching around, I saw about now the japs got a oni for when theres holes in the walls; the first time it was seen, there was a hole in the wall right where it would have came from

Fox bark sounds like a mixture of a dog barking and a man yelling. Foxes make some really fucking weird noises.

But, atleast that territorial bark/yell might explain that, if one male fox was chasing another off from his territory. Last week I had a encounter with a fox that started reeing at my corgi. It was kinda funny having a fox and a dog barking at each other.

Foxes are interesting creatures. Its always pleasant seeing them, however you always end up paying a price for encountering fox by having some misfortunate thing happen the next day. I suppose its a fair price for a instant mood improvement.

>Its always pleasant seeing them, however you always end up paying a price for encountering fox by having some misfortunate thing happen the next day.

Is that some Finn superstition or something? I've never heard of foxes being bad omens.

Do you eat the foxes you shoot? Do they taste good?

Were the foxes actually qt girls?

I'd rather have thousand snakes and foxes around than deal with fucking rats, ticks and goose-shit. That a fox reks your chicken is purely a result of substandard engineering. Fox piss can't melt steelbeams.

>>685376

Purely anecdotal happenstance.

>>685404

Well yes, admittedly, playing fox puppies were rather pleasant to look at. However the one fox that has it's nest and territory around here isn't qt. He's a tough one that just refuses to die no matter what affliction he's suffering from.

Oh god, nononononono.

Foxes and any other carrion eater has every last disease in his general vicinity in his body.

You shouldn't even handle a fox you shot without plastic gloves (in case you get blood on your hands and later transfer it into a wound or any other orifice), if you eat the thing you're dead.

I have something sorta similar

>Be me, a kid with insomnia

>About 7-8 at the time

>Up at about 1am playing gamecube

>One wall of the bedroom is entirely window, blinds barely cover them so the sky is visible

>Take a break from the game and catch a glimpse outside

>See lights in the sky, Red, Yellow, White, and Blue in a row of about three

>Yes three.

>Thought it was an helicopter or something but it stayed still aside from the lights moving in a 'line'

>Literally as if moving in a circle and I'm only catching a bit of it

>Watched it for a minute or two trying to think of what it was

>Go to get parents

>They see it too, admit they don't know what it is

>Lights go out one by one after a couple minutes of them looking at it

I know for a fact it wasn't me being a crazed child because two other people saw it. It can't have been a helicopter because there was no sound from it and they never come around here. Going off memory it would've been either over water or a power plant in the same direction but there's no way I could guess the distance.

Huh. Didn't know that. Then again, I've never seen a wild fox before. Guess they're just good for pelts, then.

This. Rats and hedgehogs each carry two-digits of bacterial species that are potentially deadly to humans and both are staple to red foxes' diet, plus foxes often carry rabies and other carnivore diseazes and parasites that are can infect humans. Never handle a wild fox.

my first gf was nothing like that, she was bossy but nothing like you described

>going out to California to visit my sister, we're going to Didneylan as well

>gf wants me to bring her back something Stich-related, tell her ok (this was something I actually liked about her, she'd tell you exactly what she wanted, none of this "you decide :)" bullshit)

>while I'm at Yidneyland she texts me saying to send her a picture of what I'm going to get her before I buy it

>mfw

>delete the text and pretend it never came through (I had an oldass phone so I could pull that card)

the last date we went on was a disaster from every angle so that's probably why she broke up with me

but all in all it was good, 7/10 probably

>ctrl-f 'Sleep Paralysis'

>No results

C'mon streloks, even if it's scientifically explained, that shit's still fucking spooky. After all, the word 'nightmare' came from them, since it literally means 'night demon'.

>be me, sleepy strelok

>get visited by Anubis, who peeks into my room from behind my door-curtain, before walking towards my bed.

>I'm terrified, so I pray to my goddess. Anubis, thankfully, only licks my right hand, in between my thumb and index finger

Some others, from a long while back:

>another time, a dark humanoid figure crawls on my ceiling till he reaches my bedside, and stays there staring at me.

>then another time, an old hag with a meat cleaver, dressed up as a lunch lady, chops my hand off.

Even though you weren't there, it assumably wasn't storming since that wasn't mentioned, it materialized indoors, and we know almost nothing about the phenomenon you claim that it was (the supposed behaviour of ball lightning is so variable and has been so sparsely observed, on what basis was it concluded that it's even the same phenomenon?) it was DEFINITELY ball lightning.

IFLSciencefags are pathetic, why not just say she was a drunk who actually saw an owl, you've got about as much basis for that. Literally the only evidence that ball lightning acts like these accounts is "skeptics" hearing about them and saying "that's ball lightning".

It hasn't been thoroughly scientifically explained, but like "ball lightning" it has become a catch-all for credulous self described "skeptics" to dismiss anything they don't like that happened around night time.
