The only scene I saw from Sicario 1 was the one with the walled dead bodies. I just burst in laughter because of how retarded, unrealistic and try hard this was. They do way worse shit irl. Also I just saw the trailer of the new movie, I laughed even harder.

Also an unrelated request. Long time ago (probably in 1993 or something) I saw a shitty movie where a group of terrorists captured something (plane, ship, airport, don't remember) using plastic colorful guns that looked like alien blasters (they were shooting normally, not like pewpew).
Now when I'm trying to find this movie, I fail spectacularly, as all Google and other searchers give me on variations of "movie where terrorists use plastic guns" exclusively fucking hysteria articles on Liberators and prop guns.
Would you help me, Strelok?

You know, you were supposed to use the memearrow before the title of the film, then write your comment as a normal sentence. This makes it easy to separate the lines, and it doesn't look like that you are quoting yourself.

It's constantly praised for it's devotion to realism, especially by service members. The actors are mostly service members, Rudy Reyes plays himself fuck's sake. If you want a take a look at military life, there's little else that's better.
OT, I just watched Tarkovsky's Stalker tonight. If you've played the game, as any good Strelok has, it's definitely worth a watch just to follow the roots of the franchise. It also stands up quite well on its own as an art film.

Jin-Roh, outside of the moments of the Wolf-Brigade going around fucking up terrorists, is mostly an espionage thriller. It's fairly slow paced and the action, is fairly sparse, but it beautifully animated. I found it a good story, but an military action movie it is not.

The imdb score is about what I'd give it, a 7/10-ish. It had some nice shots in it, some humor (as you can tell), and a lot of the acting was pretty damn solid. I question the necessity of some of the scenes, but none of them really felt out of place either. I personally won't be re-watching it, but that doesn't mean it's not worth seeing at least once.
Trivia: Apparently Israel declared it another shoah because of the bit where their military covers up the deaths of some Palestinians they fucked up over a soda can, and they took it out on a Paris film fest by throwing a boycott tantrum even though they'd helped fund it. Dude, that movie kicks all kinds of ass.
I was pretty fucked up after finding out that the kids were in on it the whole time.
They could have played out the resistance a little more, instead of focusing so heavily on the main concept. It was almost overkill for an aesthetic theme that was already the subcontext of all dialogue and action for the film, but I digress. Perhaps I'm just biased towards more plotting and action.
Seeing that snazzy pad though (the one where Bale listens to that vinyl?) really made me look inwards for a bit. Like, that's totally what we do; surround ourselves with what we see as our identifying features and interests that make up who not only what we do and want to see ourselves as, but what others see us as as well. To have that taken away? Man, imagining myself coming into my room after a lifetime of separation, only to see a spec of who I once was, and be brought face-to-face with what I've become.
And, after all, for who? And why?

>In the fictional town of Tenderville, Oregon, Bill Williamson, a 23-year-old man, is living with his parents and working a low-paid job as a mechanic, feeling bombarded with the problems of the world, by ubiquitous TV sets, radios, and the outspoken political views of 21-year-old Evan Drince, who seems to be his sole friend.
>Back at home, Bill prints out fake money and then constructs a suit of AR-500 steel body armor, complete with a ballistic helmet and a paintball mask. Armed with two submachine guns, two semiautomatic pistols, and two knives, he heads into the center of town.

I liked it years ago, but after trying to rewatch it, It seems really dated. Still a top-tier sci-fi series and much better than many shows coming out today. The spin of series that followed were not really that great compared to the original series imo. There were also a few movies about specific story arcs.
If you like stargate, you might also like firefly. It was low budgety looking and the series got canceled early on, but it puts a wild west theme in space and the story was good.

got around to watching rampage at /k/'s recommendation. very poorly written movie. his motivation for a killing spree is what? getting kicked out of mommy's basement? not enough foam on his mochachino? listening to his friends Alex Jones-tier rants? he should have at least been a vet returning to a country where police prevent justice. this would have been a more solid motivation.
then you have a 23 year old who can somehow make remote controlled vehicles, and massive remote controlled bombs but doesn't have the brains to go after even 1 high value target??? instead he kills a bunch of working class people who he should have been courting the support of, by the targets he chose.
then he frames his "friend" like a total kike psychopath? not to mention he is shooting uzi's from the hip, never reloading, and somehow still stacking bodies. the scene where he turns his back to the cops and his armor magically deflects all the shots, is particularly cringe.
this must have been written by some 18 year old robot. im disappointed in this recommendation /k/

it was high quality, obviously it's from one side's perspective in wartime so it is biased. it is an interesting look into the real life of a sniper though. from the firefights to the classroom speeches, to visits with families etc. its a complete picture. also a very real and profound ending, which i wont spoil.
this imo is a must watch if you are into sniper stuff. granted it doesn't get into the technicalities of shooting or anything, it stays more on the political and human perspective.

Well shit, I was hoping for something good.
Is it at least solo /k/ommando going at it or does he only survive because of a stronk brown wymyn that was trying to kill him for the first half of the movie?

It's basically solo-kunt going at it against different varieties of asians and whites mostly using just knives. Then kunt goes to beg for help from a doctor and a belarussian stronk womyn, gets shipped to Algeria, begs for help from a brown stronk womyn, meanwhile white stronk womyn back in new york starts her tour and punishes anyone who helped kunt in the last movie. Meanwhile in algeria kunt begs for help from a stronk brown wo- wait, strong brown assasin master, that is a man. And then bunch of repetitive fighting continues, kunt throws manlets around, more repetitive fighting ensues and so on. You get the idea. Also, throw in the mix bunch of gayass CGI and that's the movie.
It was all awfully boring except for the last 20 minutes or so. Just watch some footage from Syria and ANNA news reports, it's far more exciting. And it's free.

I felt like the movie was preparatory for what it's going to come next… which I guess would also justify the secondary title "parabellum".
I also didn't notice all the CGI you mentioned. I recall seeing a dog jumping a bit against the laws of physics at some point, but I believe it was simply assisted by a rope and not completely digitally crafted.
It's a meh/10, but you still should watch it for continuity.

Any /k/inos that actually have good tactics? I'm tired of war/fight scenes that are just a clusterfuck of shots of dudes shooting/getting shot, I'd like to see flanking, pincer attacks, traps, bait, etc. Any era is fine (even sci-fi). The only examples I have are:
>Dredd - nothing crazy, but competent
>Shadow - borderline absurd but still interesting because of how creative it is
>Green Room - hardly a /k/ino but its very particular about things like ammo count and positioning

I'm 100% certain this movie would have been a million times better if it was shot in the late 80's. Something between Platoon and Speed.

Failure of a competition. Would've died the second he entered an open field full of targets. Good thing they all stood up one at a time and choreographed that they'd approach in sequence. Nevermind rushing his way through an area without checking for traps, compromising his survival chances in favor of completing arbitrary objectives slightly faster. No wonder he set a record, airsoft would be a better objective metric for operators.

Did you pay any attention to the first third of the movie?
Isn't it hypocritical for a man to be disgusted by the filth of the streets, yet indulge in it by going into porno theatres? And even pulling a woman towards that sick shit?
Or the part where they had an underage acting as a hooker also didn't tick you off? They could have looked for a midget for it, but apparently their sick fuckery had to be in the way.
It's ok, we can always claim it as the work of italains and ignore the judeo- part.
