It's not that they're ugly. Some time has been spent is their modeling and I think it looks good however, I think I found out why they look so bad. The two red head and the bindi dot indian woman all have deep blush on their cheekbones. I've got a few different pictures. In this first one, it's not so bad on the mother? on the left as it's faded but it's heavily prominent on the girl on the right. It does look like she can't do make up properly with that bright a blush instead of it being a red-head effect. Also note the chest on the left, bright skin again. I think the creator is trying to model it off real life red heads but this also brings up the second problem.
