When Joel decides to put Alanna on the street, she asks for one last chance and promises to do the housework in exchange for housing. It is up to the player to teach Alanna to do the service.

As an example I selected 4 random .jpg images and converted them using default setting with cwebp.

As you can see the images are almost identical but the file sizes are much smaller.
Going from a lossless format to lossy rather than lossy to lossy would be even better.

Great, I'll do this, Renpy has webp support.
Apart from the 160 images I'm redoing (I have already re-created 56 of them), I have all the others in PNG 4K, so I can achieve a much higher quality. I could even redo the game in 1080p, instead of the current 720p.
My only problem would be with the videos webm. I just can not capture the video in high resolution and turn it into a decent webm. When I use the converter I have here, the video sucks.

I did the following test: PNG for JPG and for Webp, both with 95% of original quality. Webp was 60% the size of JPEG, and with fewer artifacts in the image. I'm definitely going to convert all PNGs to Webp. I just need to learn how to do a batch process with cwebp…

In Linux it's as simple as making a script of

for all cwebp defaults, all the names properly trimmed and put into an output directory.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Click. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Adam Sandler’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. I didn't put the two events on the list because it's just a bonus, not an event linked to the story. But these bonuses unlock a scene, this may confuse the players a bit, but the game is so easy that I didn't worry too much about it.
Enthusiasm will be one of the parameters to measure Alanna's ranking at the end of the game. The higher the ranking, the better the end will be. The enthusiasm only decreases over time so the player has to finish the game as quickly as possible.
For those who don't care about the gameplay and just want to see the story, I'll provide a cheat code that unlocks the entire gallery.

Hi dev, I made a script and replaced the content of game/tl/ev-de-ab-09.txt into game/tl/german. It has been quite easy, but some errors were triggered because of missing or unescaped quotation marks in the original document.
The German translation (apparently) works, the game doesn't crash at start. Of course the UI and the menu are still in English (scripts.rpy and common.rpy are not translated and I don't speak German at all).
As usual, rename the file as german.zip. Godspeed!

Well, that was a fun afternoon. I liked the game. The English isn't perfect, neither are the animations but it's well done enough. Your humor is quite crude but I lost my shit at the Adam Sandler stuff and a couple of other things.
If anything, this wasn't generic. Too many games are the same old song and dance over and over again but this was refreshingly different. I look forward to the sandbox mode being fully realized.
