This battle system is really shitty.
The first sell you have NEVER hits. Except once. And the energy bar doesn't matter for this.

I actually found the combat pretty easy to cheese actually. Only thing that pisses me offme is how the main char pussies out of going inside a house if your energy is low, especially given how easy it is to gain energy in a combat. Having no way to regain energy while fighting with doors and running out of it while trying to blow a door up activated my almonds to hell and back.
