Hey there dude, I don't know if you really is the author, but hey, if you are, here are my toughts.
First and foremost: The art is magnificent and don't let people tell otherwise.
The game itself is good, but it need some changes:
- Try and make the game more forgiving, all it takes is one wrong dialog pick and the game is over, I have to restart;
- Since I had to restart a lot I ran into some flags problems, you forgot to reset some of the characters flags, the smuggler dialog, for exemple, I couldn't pick the one that lets me progress anymore, I could only do lewd stuff to her or buy a harvester. Let me give you a tip, it seems to me you have a few loose boolean vars and use those to control the progress, try and unite those into objects, the "restart" thing would be way easier, just call "smugglerEvents.restart()" and boom, done;
- I know the game is in progress but try and let people know what isn't in the game, for example, you have a dialog with the character's mother about having sex and the dialog just cuts, It would be best if you just added some piece of dialog after that like "Still not here, wait for updates" or something;
- And last one, I don't know if you have that planned or not but the "follow me" feature is kinda broken, there should be an option for me to disband people from my party at any given time. BTW there is a glich with the Mother with this follow me stuff, once you get father to fight with mother you can ask mom to follow you and if you do and you go travelling mother will reset to the first place you met her with no dialog.
I know its a lot, but I hope it helped.

I did, that's how I played it. Came back form spice prod visits, palace under attack. Got the fight, pissed off with mom and Stilgar.
He told to fly to a certain siech - Chani and mom scenes, as normal. Then suddenly I could not leave anymore using navigation. This is when I got stuck…
No other dialogue with mom or Chani. And of course missed the new navigator chick, because I could not get out of that damn hole. Trying again.

There is one bigger bug at least, when you kill Stilgar (as a ghola) a second time the game starts to crap out. Newer v12.13 on Balsa's Patreon does fix this, perhaps some other stuff too. But aside from that nasty bug the rest should work as expected.

Did anyone else end up being… I don't know… disappointed with the final game? Don't get me wrong - the game is awesome. I followed it from early on and liked the content it added. But knowing that it's now complete, it feels like it's missing something. And I have no idea what that something is. Maybe it's the fact that you can't save; it makes it feel short. After reading summaries of both, of the two you mentioned, Heretics' events would be the best to base a game around except it would need to be modified by adding a mother, aunts, and grandmothers for whoever the MC will be, along with adding a segment where you can explore and have events in Chapterhouse, or another Bene Gesserit planet, almost completely populated by their kind. Regarding the current Behind the Dune, I wonder if there are plans to implement, after the ending and credits, a post-game where we're kicked back to Arrakis so we can just visit all the girls in the various locations, take them to the different places, and just have fun with them, with the dialogue changed to reflect that this is after the ending and the other events that happen. Hell, you could have new scenes accessible only in the post-game that reflect whatever ending you chose. This post-game would be great to have a better sense of story continuity in addition to the gallery mode. I hate that the game just ends abruptly after the credits and we're just kicked back to the title screen.

I've wanted to write this since last year when he finally added the scene where you fuck the Reverend Mother and Harah. But I put off writing what I thought at the time because of a combination of laziness and that it feels pointless as David/Balsamique doesn't visit this thread anymore. And so the updates kept coming out without me saying a word. Anyway, I've resolved to write it now because I've heard that he's going to begin full development on Vega Hunters around February since his programmer will be able to start working with him starting then. So on the bright side of things, this will be a little long but at least I have been able to see a fuller picture of the direction that David has taken the game in because of all the updates that he's put out ever since I originally wanted to write this.
I'm going to go through my thoughts by topic according to the content he's added, as I think that would be the most organized way of doing this to be the most understandable to the people who will read this post. So without further delay, let's begin.
1. Shower Scenes
These are great overall, all the scenes are unique in that the paired girls are talking about a topic connected to them and that they are all posed uniquely. The way you notice how to access them is also a nice subtle detail.
I just wish there was an option for Paul to walk into the shower in each of the scenes and fuck the women, get a blowjob from them or have them give him a blowjob or fuck him.
2. Guild Navigator Scene
Overall a good addition, but I think it could have been better if during the part where you fuck her breast, it showed an x-ray view of what fucking it looks like on the inside. Instead, just seeing the side of her giant breast there feels and looks like a huge blank space. I wish the scene could also have a part where you fuck both of her nipples.
Also, the dialogue could have been improve a little. For example the Navigator could have said "Give me your cum, Paul, make my breasts pregnant!", but I can accept that maybe writing hot sex dialogue isn't David's specialty as this is also evident in other parts of the game.
There's a bunch of other ways I can imagine the scene could have gone, like Paul cumming so much, the tank becomes half-filled with his sperm, and that she's fine with it because she'll have something extra to eat during the next few days, but I guess this ending could be saved for a new scene.
3. The Fuck Scene with Reverend Mother/Captain/Harrah/Jessica
The Good: Finally you can fuck them and cum inside them and I wish I could say I am fine with it, but I want to be honest below. (The Reverend Mother's is the best version out of all them BTW)
The Bad: I really really wish David didn't choose to do it like this where he just reused the scene for all of them. The scene where you finally fuck each of these women should have been special and unique exactly because these are all major characters in the game. What I was hoping was that each would be a scene on the level of quality of the Blowjob scene you get from the reverend mother early in the game. The quality of the art looks worse than the art from the reused blowjob scenes with the Fremen leaders, in that the art looks a bit rushed, and the lines don't seem as clean (maybe because they're thicker lines). I understood that the Fremen leader blowjob scene was reused because, all in all, they were just minor filler characters and part of their purpose was to simply be units to harvest spice with on the map. (Arguably, the one with the most character out of all of them is Stilgar's daughter since she refuses to fuck with you if her father is around). So I was really disappointed that what were supposed to be the most important sex scenes for each of these major characters, ended up being one recycled scene.
However, I am only guessing, but I can respect that David chose to do it this way because this was the only way to finish all of them with the time he had left before he started working on Vega Hunters again soon and he didn't have time to give each of them a special scene, or that he just finally wants to move on to a different project now and doesn't want to keep working on Behind the Dune longer than he has to and just wants to make the game as "complete" as possible before stopping.

4. Harrah's Jail Scene
Good, but not as great as Chani's jail scene, which is surprising as I don't like Chani at all (which is why I will always be thankful that I am lucky enough that David decided to add Harrah as another choice to be our concubine, for some reason) but I really liked that scene of hers.
What I find lacking in it is that there's no interaction on her part. Yes, she's chained up, but the way it could have gone is that the guards/soldiers starved her so much that she reluctanty asks them to all try to cum in her mouth one by one before they let loose her chains and she uses her hands to eat the rest of the cum from her body. And the guards are amused by this because she is so weak from hunger that she chooses to eat cum instead of escaping even when she is no longer chained. Whatever is left, she asks to be cleaned and the scene continues as it does now where one of the guards pisses on her. But I guess this is too much to wish for.
5. Chani's Jail Scene
The better scene out of the two, and actually made me like her, if only in this scene, since I find her character design not special at all. What makes it good are two things; One, how she is drawn in this scene is so much better with and erotic than how she normally looks outside, especially her face. It's probably due to her eyes and lips being bigger which makes her face look smaller and cuter. You can clearly compare and see how different her face here compared to her normal one. I'd prefer if her regular face was redone to look more like this scene's. Second, and just as important, her actually having interaction in the scene by sucking the guard's cock.
The only way that you could still improve on this scene is if Chani had an option to gulp down and swallow the cum in her mouth.
6. Alia's Blue Lollipops
Not the scene itself, as I don't know what he plans to do with it further. I'd just prefer that instead of finding it just lying around in the Comms room, you buy the pack of lollipops from the Smuggler as a new product that the Fremen have developed to make money.
7. Misc
Here, I'll just mention the stuff or loose ends that I hope David hasn't forgotten to update and a misc wishlist that would be a miracle if I see it in the game.
Loose Ends:
- Can't repeat Irulan's bukkake during the post-game, which she should be able to to heart's content. This is probably the easiest to do and fix.
- Still no option for titfuck scene with naked Harrah
- Still no The Voice "SUCK MY DICK" scene for Harrah, Irulan, the Captain, and Chani. I hope he can give them all unique scenes like the reverend mother's
- During conversation with Irulan in the Comms room after you wear a disguise and sneak into the palace, the option to make her spread/show her pussy does nothing.
- Can't repeat Chani or Harrah's jail scenes during post-game. This can be explained as you wanting to test if the chains are still secure.
- Can't titfuck Jessica anymore after the Harkonnen attack which makes no sense since you can do pretty much everything else with her.
Wishlist:
- Should be able to fuck Jessica while the Duke is in the room during post-game. He's just a ghola anyway
- Should be able to fuck Khaira while Stilgar is in the same room during post-game. The voice should strong enough at this point to override her mind
- Option to take other women you meet, like the Reverend mother, as your concubine before the Harkonnen invade the palace and have them have a jail scene
- Option to put the women you can't take as concubine in jail, like the smuggler, during the post-game and give them their own jail scene.
- During post-game can make any of the women pregnant after fucking them. You can then access an extra post-game ending scene which shows you fucking the pregnant women.

Well that's pretty much it, but I'm sure I've forgotten some things here and there. I guess the update this month or next month will be the last update for the game, so I'm just glad to be getting this stuff off my chest. Whatever happens, the game itself is already great, but it can always be improved or have more stuff added to it.
Also, it's probably not gonna happen, but I wish instead of continuing Vega Hunters, David would consider just starting a new game using that Dunwich Lovecraft poster he made as a jumping point. We already have a sci-fi game with Dune, and having a new setting to play around with instead of another sci-fi game would be more interesting. I can already imagine playing as a young orphan boy that the Investigator-looking lady picked up in one of her previous cases, and took you under her wing, but have since yourself useful as her assistant in the cases she's taken since then.
Each time you'd run the game, the game randomly selects (but doesn't tell you) which Great Old One (GOO) will be the final boss of the game. There'll be like 4 or 5 of them, and some scenes and parts of the story change depending on which GOO is selected by the game. Your job is to help the Investigator look for clues around the different locations in Dunwich and try to deduce the identity of which GOO is behind the evil in the area. The investigation gameplay part can be a re-skin of the push-your-luck gameplay segment that's currently in Vega Hunters. While investigating a location, you can collect evidence and items. If you push too much, you'll get injured and lose all the evidence, and items you've collected at that location, which also wastes the time remaining until the GOO reveals itself and unleashes it's own doom on Dunwich and the rest of the world. Time remaining can be tracked like the Days in Behind the Dune. Let's say you have 30 days to find out the identity of the GOO and collect the needed items to defeat it. And each time you investigate, it takes half-a-day, but if you get injured you spend an extra day recovering at the hospital
Evidence can only be read if you make it out safely from the location, while items are divided into two types, the first are consumables and weapons like bandages that can heal your wounds and allow you to investigate longer or guns that allow you to kill enemies in the locations, the second type are unique items that you collect and save for the final battle against the GOO and you need to select which 3 items are specific items needed to kill it during this playthrough. The specific items needed change randomly each game, but are selected within a sub-set for each GOO. For example, against Nyarlathotep, in one playthrough, you might need 1 all-seeing crystal and 2 Necronomicons, but in another it might be 1 Necronomicon, 1 all-seeing crystal, and 1 ancient lantern. Of course depending on the GOO, you'd be able to guess which unique items you might need but you'll never be sure what the exact combination or number is until you investigate and gather enough clues or evidence.

During investigations, you can also choose which 2 mature people to bring with you to help. The idea is that since you're still a young boy, they can't let you investigate alone. Of course at the start, you will only have your Investigator, so one of the first things you must do is find and recruit an additional person in Dunwich, although you can choose to investigate with only 2 people in your party, if you want. Each possible party member has a bonus or ability that helps during the investigation. So depending on the GOO or the location you're investigating, some party members will be more useful than others, such as a nun being more useful when investigating an ancient underground church or a lady doctor at a dangerous mental hospital. A big part of the game is narrowing down which locations are important as you also try to narrow down the identity of the GOO, because some unique items can only be found in specific locations and time is running out each time you do something. Even just talking to people to try to recruit them to your party takes time (and you can fail this since each recruitable person will have specific conditions that can be easy or difficult).
As time runs out and approaches 0, 3 Calamity Events will happen around Dunwich, which can seal off some locations or make it more difficult to investigate others which will cost you even more time from what you have left or cause other effects, like an ally going crazy and becoming an enemy for the rest of the game. These Calamities can change from game to game.
Sex scenes can happen while investigating a location, between you and one or all party members or between the party members and monsters. Sex scenes can also happen if you fail the investigation, run out of time, or fail during the final confrontation with the GOO. There are also some sex scenes that are triggered during the story and because of certain calamities. Storywise, there are actually secrets about you that you will discover while playing the game.
As you can see, this is why I see alot more potential with his Dunwich idea than Vega Hunters, since it can be structured similar to an investigation board game with high replay value. If you've read this far, thanks for at least humoring my thoughts :)

Haha, I'm sorry if my feedback is too long. I'll try to make it shorter next time since now I know you might read it. Yes I understand you have to move on some day and can't work on BTD forever, especially since you're mostly working solo. The most recent update definitely is a good place to end it. But maybe you can revisit it sometime if you feel inspired to add a new scene here and there like how the Roundscape devs add new stuff every so often to their game, even though it's finished.
For Dunwich, thank you for letting me off lightly with your words. I never meant to give the impression that I was expecting you to make a game with the complex ideas I wrote (but I really want plenty of MILFs and "cakes" no matter what game you make). I just wrote all that because it was my way of showing the people here just how much potential I saw, and how much more interest I have in the idea of a Lovecraft/Cthuluhu Mythos porn game made by you, when at the time all I knew was that you were moving on to continuing Vega Hunters. It was a pleasant surprise when I read that you were looking into starting work on Dunwich too.
But if I may just say one thing; PLEASE do not make it non-hardcore. First, there are already so many normal video games set in Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos setting. Recently, there have actually been a bunch of these games that have come out on PC. Second, as far as I know, there are only a few, if any, erotic games that are actually set in the Cthulhu Mythos, with locations like Dunwich, Innsmouth, Miskatonic University, the mad mountains in Antarctica, etc… Sure there are many erotic games that are inspired by it and/or use elements, like guest-starring Cthulhu as a monster, here and there, but very few that are actually set in Lovecraft's universe. Lastly, it would be a waste to see you make art for a non-porn game, knowing how well you make erotic art.
If you do decide to go ahead and make it a non-hardcore game because you want to put it on an app store also as a business decision, then I'll respect that. However personally, my interest in the game would end there, though I will still wish you the best of luck. I will just wait for the day that you'll make your next hardcore game.
