Life has no inherent meaning in of itself, humans give it a sort of rationale or purpose in order to justify the means to an end or to motivate themselves past the fatigue of daily humdrum. Animals live doing what they do because they don't stop and think about where their actions will lead them or what they will ultimately amount towards. This is what separates intelligence from those that act based entirely on instinct or emotion.
Personally, I believe that we will never truly know and it is not ours to know anyway. And because we have so much time to spend not knowing and arguing over this sort of thing, life should be used for some sort of betterment for something and to justify our purpose as intelligent beings rather than living in service of pleasure or one's self. Life should be lived trying to make things just a little bit better, finding ways to improve upon things or to the best they possibly can be. It's up to us as intelligent beings to give our own life the purpose and meaning we seek. Knowing a definitive answer would destroy this fact and defeat the point of intelligence and our fundamental need to satiate our curiosity, explanations, and understandings. Life needs it's mysteries in order to keep us striving for something, but it's also not required that we need to know everything, only to be the best we can be and have life go a bit easier for everyone involved.
At the same time, I believe much in a concept sort of similar to wu wei. We can't possibly help everyone and we need to know our own limitations and set reasonable goals before striving for unrealistic expectations. We need to achieve the smaller steps needed first and know how to build up for what we strive for. People talk too much of "global" issues without much care for the well being of their own community or local problems. You shouldn't worry too much about factors outside of your control, what you can worry about is being as good of a person you can be to yourself and those around you, the rest will follow if you can inspire others to do the same. Try to live without being much a bother to anyone, but also recognize when you need to stand to defend yourself, your ideals, your meaning, your purpose.
There is objective good and bad, intelligent beings should strive to be as civilized as possible. That comes at the expense of restraint and knowing how to control personal desires, urges, instincts, etc. Chaos creates challenge, motivation, and freedom, but also comes at the cost of uncertainty, anarchy, and the group. Order creates stability, unity, and morality, but comes at the cost of restriction, emotion, and the individual. Humans are too emotional to live a completely orderly society, but we also know better than to stoop to the absolute chaos of total anarchy (or at least I hope we do.)
And no I am not a nihilist, nor do I believe in "blackpill."

Wouldn't it be nice if others lived trying not to bother you, to be as nice to you as possible, took everything you said into account? How we could live if we lived for mutual benefit and in harmony with the world. If we thought about others struggles, grievances, or what sets them off and tried to minimize them. Or how much greater strife we could prevent when we know when to rise to the occasion. Upsetting or offending someone isn't bad in of itself, sometimes there needs to be sacrifices made for a better outcome. Life has it's struggles and it's all about balance.
Everything you do in some way echoes across and creates ripples in the world around you. Sort of like a giant Rube Goldberg Machine, everything has a reaction and effect no matter how miniscule. You buy a movie ticket, you're supporting the theater you went to, you're supporting the people who made the movie. In turn, it tells the people what kind of movies are selling and what people want to see. Basic stuff so far. But you also condition your brain to think in certain ways with every action you take. For example, swearing might become part of someone's regular vocabulary with each frequent and consecutive use. This applies towards everything. If you practice nice, you'll do nice. Things you indulge in, no matter how harmless you may think they are, will spread and affect your behavior subconsciously and in turn affects your interactions with the world around you. It's like how they say the Butterfly Effect. You kill the Butterfly or leave it be. Imagine, someone sees the Butterfly and is inspired by it, they want to paint the Butterfly or gain a sense of happiness from it. In turn, they spread the happiness they gained from the Butterfly. Everything matters, but if it matters in the end, who knows? We're all in this ride and actions will have consequences long after we're dead and gone, we should try to have as little negative impact as we can.
It's an extreme example, but think this when considering morality. "If everyone were to do this or think this, would it be okay?"

I believe that it's to change the world as we'd want to see it. That could mean the people and things we interact with and influence, and leaving our identities to last for as long beyond the grave as possible. If we can do that, then we'll be able to do the former for as long as what's left of us can be read or seen by others.
