Look at cardio athletes with muscle and do what they do? Swimmers, sprinters, bike riders, boxers and the like. Stay away from powerwalking marathons and you should be fine, I guess.

Yeah, if you're an anorexic faggot. If you have a constant surplus of nutrition and fat, your muscle will only benefit, moron.

>chugging down exhaust fumes
What are parks? Besides, chugging down exhaust fumes isn't extremely bad when your brain is properly nourished in order to generate 10x more neurons than that which was lost during the inhalation of vehicular emissions.
>fucking boring
And sitting in one place, looking at a wall, putting things up and down isn't? Unless you only get your workouts from having sexual intercourse, running is one of the most fun exercises out there.

Hiking is best cardio. Few hours in the woods going up and down hills on rough terrain. Burns way more calories and isn’t boring as fuck.

If it's your hips, work on your posture while jogging. Either pulling your bum in or pushing it out a bit. Doing some stretches beforehand could help if it's hip tightness causing the problem. Bridges, planks, leg raises can help strengthen the lower back. Doing some 'compounds' with a dumbbell and bands might help. Don't forget the facepulls, either.
Hard to correct without another set of eyes. Maybe film yourself or ask someone to film you. Like lifts, it could be a matter of form. Or maybe your back is fucked.

no need to resort to name calling anon, we should all try to be nice because even the small things add up to make /fit/ a nice place or a crappy one.
I never thought there would be a difference doing it the other way around. What I have been doing is cardio after lifting because I heard that the cardio can tire you out and cause you to not be able to push yourself during lifting, so that's why I lifted before I ran.
Basically, it never crossed my mind, what you're telling me. Will running before boxing training not tire me out for boxing? I have been running after because I decided I'd rather give it my all on the bag and feel tired during a run, but if this is hurting my training for overall stamina I will try switching it up next time I go to the gym.

Easy 10 min cardio before lifting with added elements of joint movements should work as a warm up, to get your joints warm and your blood pumping. Doing lightweight cardio after the main training routine, is a great way to cool yourself down, lessen joint stiffness and injury possibility. Same as with a diesel car. Slowly get the engine to work temperature before you floor it. Doing light cardio with increasing tension does exactly that. Yes, you might get slightly lesser results for lifts, because it does take strength, to get you going, but the decrease shouldn't be that noticeable. Don't do max, while you are cold.
As much as I've spent my time with pro athletes, that train in biathlon or bobsleigh, their warm ups take about half an hour or even more sometimes and they are soaking in swet already, before they even get to main training.
Also, skipping rope is a great cardio warm up and should be a must have in every boxing training

Thanks for the advice anon. I'm thinking next time I go to the gym, I'll run a mile before I train boxing.
On days I lift I may jump rope to warm up before lifting, then run and finish with boxing.
I do jump rope a little bit, but not nearly as much as I should.
Do you train athletes?

Do what works for you the best. Just follow some basic guidelines about what you should and should not do during warm ups, work outs and cool downs to keep yourself safe, and you will make it.
When I used to box, we would warm up with all sorts of joint rotations, taking it slowly and building up rotation range and speed over time, for about 5 minutes and a short, low intensity run, with various sprint exercises. Then we skipped with skipping rope, 5 sets, 1 min each, with varying rope speeds and jump patterns. As we were almost ready, we did some basic dynamic stretching and it was time to work on the fun stuff.
Nope. Just a regular anon, who's /fit/. You know, most of us will not become professional athletes, but by having a professional attitude, we can become better and help other guys to become better than themselves firstly and maybe even semipro/pro or annoying blabber mouth guys secondly. It's all about your work attitude, what makes the difference. That's why I sometimes hang out and work out with professional athletes, to learn from them and their mistakes. It's also interesting to compare, how you can perform against those, that have been training with professional trainers, have strict diets, have personal physiologists, spend most of their time perfecting their technique and have their living quality on the line, depending on their performance in competition, to your crossfit-zoomba dance program with anime music in background and weird meme supplements with self made interpretations of what you should do in the gym with the equipment there.

No. Cardio = Lungs + Heart Rate. 5 minutes after finishing is all it takes for your HR to drop to baseline and your lungs to recover to at least 90% O2 capacity. Stop making excuses for not pushing yourself. You're welcome idiot.
