If you wanna play in-game, then yeah, something like that. Being in a guild isn't really necessary for erp, but it's there if you want it. It also depends on what faction you wanna play since both sides have Elves. Moon Guard is the typical server associated with erp, Goldshire Inn in particular as a hotspot, but it's also a clusterfuck of memeshit and terrible players so take that with a big grain of salt. I can't really speak past that for Alliance since I'm Horde, but Argent Dawn on US has a pretty healthy population for Blood Elf play with a lot of players hanging out in their capital city, Silvermoon.
You'll also need to download some RP add-ons that'll typically act like an f-list style profile of sorts when other people with the same add-ons click on you. Lastly, you can play for free til level 20, but most players refuse to touch trial accounts for RP since they're almost always shitters. Hopefully my rambling helped in someway.

I'm levelling pic related right now and all I want is to find a worgen/hunter/warlock to rail me as we level together in an ongoing RP/ERP adventure. Goldshire is full of trials, f-listers dont actually play the game and nobody wants to endure the awful levelling grind for a stranger (understandable) so I'm out of luck. Feels bad.
