Like Servitors, they're thoughtforms. The difference is that servitors are tightly bound on creation to do one task and vanish after a certain period, to avoid them getting too strong and eventually going rogue.

Tulpas will absorb as much energy from you as they can, because they're given a lot of freedom. And, like any creature, they try to cling to existence. Eventually, they'll realize their existence is dependent upon you, and, in response, they'll try to get control over you to prevent you from destroying them when you feel like it.

Tulpa-creation is apparently practiced in Tibetan monasteries, but the environment there is very different. Namely, the people practicing it are surrounded by people more versed in such things 24/7, and it'll be noticed if they show aberrant behavior. You don't have that. I have had great success with this rite, after a couple of years of daily practice. Depending on how good you are at cursing and with Saturnian/Martian energies, this may work for you with little to no training.
