People give Diet Coke a bad rap because it has been established as the drink of choice for fatties. That and aspartame gets a bad name, even though Pepsi uses Splenda to sweeten their soda and that shit puts chlorine in your body. All in all, when I drink soda, it’s either regular Pepsi or Diet Coke, both of which are probably bad for you, but fuck it. I’m a grown man and it’s not as if I’m guzzling down a two liter, I’m havin a can, two at the most.

Chlorine atom are common in your body, there are more chlorine atoms in your body than iron atoms and they are essential for life. There is not a single living being that doesn't need chlorine. Chlorine gas is dangerous just like metallic sodium, potassium, calcium, etc are dangerous, because they are in very reactive states in contrast with the states generally found in food.
That said they are both disgusting. I would rather just drink water.
