Bowels of the Earth seems the easiest, as well as the least dangerous, though Waiting for the End is also tempting. There's a lot to be said about taking Viscera with almost any nightmare, though the lack of stated limits have me skeptical. Can she transform into some cheetah-like beast and let me ride her for extremely fast travel? If so then she's probably the best choice for a lot of these since the goal is often just "reach the end", but I think I'd rather not risk it just in case. So all things considered, I think I'll go for…

As stated before, this one has no real threat to it. Just keep looking forward and going forward. Things will get a bit uncomfortable during later segments, and I'm bound to lose once or twice to something dropping onto my back, but it seems doable well within a month. And as an added bonus, because this doesn't have any particular challenge to overcome other than simply making it to the end, I'm free to pick whoever I want as my waifu with little worry about usefulness/relevance

Unfortunately a lot of these waifus fall apart with their intended purpose of keeping you company. The Viscera hardly knows how to talk, the leviathan's a bitch, the stalker speaks but only just barely, and the scorpion is patronizing. Out of what's left, the housewife is cute, and I would like kids, but there's no way I'd be able to handle dozens of them at once; and the scion has a double-wammy of weird self-harm shit and destroying the world. Now we're down to the urchin and the mendicant. There's nothing bad about either one of them, and the decision really comes down to which do I value more: companionship during the nightmare, or afterwards. During the nightmare, the mendicant seems like she'd have more to talk about to keep me distracted as we go, but I don't have much interest in traveling the world, and I'm awful at coming up with gifts. The urchin, having spent her life just hiding, would probably be poor conversation down in the tunnels, but once we're out would be adorable and the fact that she's comfortable showing affection in public is a big plus. Given that I feel I could complete the nightmare alone, I feel that going for the long-term option of the urchin is the best.
Interesting cyoa, but it feels like the waifu's could've been handled better. Just flat out saying "I'm an experienced artificer of waifus" breaks immersion.

Despite some problems, this is a really cool CYOA. One of the most interesting I've seen.
The Labyrinthine Apartment with its time stretching is close to experiencing Blame! firsthand. The Landlord is cute, too, but something about her rubs me the wrong way. If she is the owner, shouldn't she know the apartment's secret? Does she know them and not tell you? Maybe her agenda from the start is to make you stay. An important omission is whether she'd fuck you during the exponential hours the two of you would spend together over the course of the year.
I think Bursting Sickness pretty much can't be done. You cannot completely avoid thinking about extreme nightly suffering during the day. The human mind doesn't work like that. Maybe if you drugged yourself into dreamless sleep for 24 hours you could manage it.
If you want to be a dick to an arrogant woman, you can pick Leviathan and a seemingly easy nightmare with no water like Bowels of the Earth. Win and take her down a notch. Will she still want go to Earth with you?
