>Perks: Loyal Guards, Hero's Sword, and Mandate of Heaven [50]
>Companions: Sir Richard Haverford, Titus Caricus, Sir Aaron Ironwood, Tom Chaser and John Calder
Pretty straight forward, I would think. My traits means that most people with have some sort of innate fear or respect fo me; they'll see me less as some girl and more as some kind of bizarre, powerful alien that has come to claim its rightful place as their ruler. The fact that I am ==figuratively== in bed with so many prominant martial figures, as well as the fact that the local military itself has all the reason in the world to revere me as a ruler, will likely lead to a fairly simple and easy military coup with me frying my brother with a lightning bolt where he stands and snatching the crown from his charred fingertips. The nobles can complain all they want; in the end, I'm the one with an army sworn to fealty.

Courtly behaviour and the peoples princess cancel out the negative effects of Martial dress. The paladin grand army of Callanrod should be affected by both church and military opinion so since the options I took give 5+ to those in total to those factions getting the paladins on my side would be easy, especially with the loyal guards allowing the princess to get out to talk with the paladins. The hero's sword, inspiring and military strategy insure any following war would be quick, but since no factions dislike the princess there shouldn't be much opposition. Caelan would be a pain to deal with, but would make things much easier when getting paladins on the princess' side.

COMPLICATIONS
>[Agnatic Succession]
Kiddie gloves are off, but plans for the throne will be kept hush-hush for as long as possible. In fact, it will be unthinkable.
>[Dispossessed Soul]
It'll be annoying but what is a romance saga without some terrible flaw?
=160
REGENT
>[Kindred Spirits]
More than that, definitely marrying this guy. Nobody will mind the incest right? In Machiavelli fashion, this will mean a lowered chance of revolt because it'll be exactly what the people are already used to. He's also prime husbando material. Even if celibate or gay, I can convince him to marry through conquering the land and showing him my worth.
=140
DRESS
>[Elegant]
Fuck you, I want to wear the dresses and be a princess. This will also be a smokescreen for the nobles during the early life. Plans for full on revolution won't surface until right before the brother's coronation.
COUNTRY
>[Highlands]
It's a nice location. Having full time, proper soldiers is core. Callanrod seems nicer but I don't want their priests looming over my every action. Baruna is a definite no, who the fuck relies on mercinaries for protection?
TRAITS
>[Beautiful]
I want the support of the common folk and this is the most efficient way to their hearts. Also just in case I need that extra oomf to seduce the regent.
>[Mature]
To make up for the army penalty. Actions were always stronger than words anyway.
>[Dull]
Action will do my PR for me.
=110
ABILITIES
>[Riding and Scouting]
Required, and also knowing when and how to retreat is important for longevity.
>[Military Strategy +]
I want to be Reinhard von Lohengramm.
>[Stewardship +]
Important for raising an army.
>[Combat +]
Raises noble opinion even further, when I'm actually going to ursurp everyone.
PERKS
>[Loyal Guards]
>[Hero's Sword]
>[Auspicious Birth]
I want to be favored in history.
>[Mandate of Heaven]
WE WARRING STATES PERIOD NOW
=70
COMPANIONS
>[Titus Caricus]
The man has valuable contacts, that's six years worth of fostering relationships. Civil War is going to be a high possibility, I want to ensure I have every possible advantage when it comes to it. The possibility of secrets from other lands can work to my advantage too, should I go for world domination.
>[Sir Aaron Ironwood]
The only negative I see is possible jealousy. Either he remains devoted or death by poison. Or public execution if I can use him excellently. Like, say, a bloody campaign in a foreign land, and the locals demanding justice.
>[Captain Luther Stormrunner]
Navy warfare could be a thing. Another loyal, capable man of military isn't bad. I sure hope this love triangle doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. Basically, another useful pawn.
>[Alyssa Rose]
Using all of my tools to their fullest extent. Her information will be used to suppress internal struggle. I'll send her to other nations I plan on subjugating after I'm done with this land.
>[Tom Chaser]
Masterful scouter, go-to guy for reconnaissance and retreats. Too useful to kill.
>[Sir Richard Haverford]
Win-win, I get a competent leader and he doesn't pine over me. Unless his thirst for power goes beyond that of a military station, but given a betrayal I can take him on.
>[Margaret Spencer]
Ensuring my wars will never be lost due to lack of supplies. With the merchants supporting me, I'm sure they'll be fine with my eventual invasion of Baruna to move central commerse to the Highlands.

I may not be a looker but I have insane people skills. The church is going to absolutely lap me up and I'll play the pious angel to the hilt.
Meanwhile my information network funnels word of every depraved act of my brother (suitably embellished if necessary) direct to the ear of the people. Stir up enough moral outrage and the priesthood will begin to plot my ascension without me having to lift a finger.
Dearest brother will eventually face a religious court of my admirers and backers, gets disinherited as per ancient law, and probably executed for sick fuckery. How tragic, I'll pray for his soul nightly, hyuk hyuk. The legal justification and word of the church will be more than enough for the common folk, and an army of paladins aren't likely to have been big Joffrey fans anyway.

At age 14, while embracing my lover Charlotte in bed, I come up with a plan to take my twin brother's place. His rule will mean certain doom for kingdom, but more importantly, my own defilement. The sick bastard would enjoy the degradation of his own twin sister. More than that, I want to marry my lover, and I want her to have my child.
The plan is simple:
1) Have Alyssa seduce and (with Alice's assistance) get my brother drunk when he is 'strangely' alone… turns out there was something stronger than just alcohol…
2) Completely swap lives with my brother…Take his place in his room, copying everything he was… while slowly cutting back on the crudeness and cruelty. I'll cut my hair, wear his clothes and bind my chest… actually I'll take to wearing plate Armour eventually so I won't have to do this in public… and depending on how big my boobs get it might be difficult to hide. Meanwhile, he'll become the princess I was… but she has come down with hysteria and is confined to her chambers… her regular medicine delivered by her trusty maid Alice maintains this state…
3) After taking my brother's place I will go through the motions and then marry my lover Charlotte!
4) Although my twin brother seems to be possessed by a demon, his seed is as close to my eggs as possible. I will have him become my personal sperm bank. I'll use him to give Alice and my Wife, Charlotte, my children.
5) Sadly, I cannot ever have children of my own without some excuse that allows me to leave public life for at least a year at a time… Perhaps a extended stay at a Cathedral I control… I could get bonus points with the church and have a child of my own… how many hot brothers does Charlotte have again?

The church and commonfolk should eat up the story of helping the less fortunate. Even if some nobles might not like associating with street rats, nothing bad should happen from people finding out we're working together, unlike most other information options. I also wouldn't mind trying out /u/ with her
No complications
I almost feel like there should be stated victory conditions. Like "If you took the magic kingdom option and have done this and that, you are successful", but I'm sure that'd kill a lot of builds. I had more fun with this than I expected, and I liked that the lewd was there, but far from the focus.

I don't have one saved, but I made a build for this when I first saw it. For what it's worth, I don't think it's a shitty CYOA at all. You have a great story hook that manages to be both personal and have stakes that are larger than just one person. The range of options is nice too. When I first saw this CYOA, I was coming up with Fire Emblem type story scenarios in my head. Thanks for making it!

A locked gender story has the function of forcing the 'adventurer' to take that into account. Also not everything is a 'choice' or there would be no cyoa. Deciding the selection of choices, and what is or is not a choice is part of the artistry that makes a cyoa interesting. I find a variety of styles interesting. A rigid perspective like that is not.

Honestly on the fence between beautiful and charming, but using Gloriana from Faerie Queene as my reference, I think beautiful is the better choice. Besides, if I'm already inspiring regardless, I think that beauty is a better pick, since beauty is naturally charming anyways.
Taking the Paladin as a companion seemed interesting at first, but he ultimately seems very unreliable. His visions could discredit me with the clergy and common people, and there's no guarantee he's not a nut (it's even implied by the description). It's a much better choice to take the loyal knight and have an in to the army through him instead.
I start off with noble support, given a combination of combat, elegance, beauty, and courtly behavior. I have no opposition to the idea of ruling with the church, and in fact that's going to be my in to winning the throne in the first place. Theology will grant me detailed knowledge of the ins and outs of the faith, and the hero's sword is going to give me the appearance of a God-sent ruler (though I'll keep it secret until the beginning of the coup). The army is the first real step.
First, I'll support Haverford and get him into a high place in the army before any concrete steps are made in succession. He'll need to be in his position for a while to be comfortable, and visiting him at work will provide an opportunity to be introduced to the rest of the high-ranking generals. From there, demonstrate my combat prowess and ability as a strategist to win more support and compensate for my elegance.
Once the army is more or less on my side, I'll reveal the Ancient Law and use it to gain the support of the church and the common people over my brother. The church will never support a degenerate and given my traits, support will build for me. Using my reputation as a holy woman I'll have a vision of myself on the throne leading the country into prosperity, and then gather the army together. At the gathering, reveal the blade master sword-style, and establish myself as a living legend. The church, army, and common people will all love a beautiful, religious queen that's as capable in battle and I already have the nobles behind me.
Once the throne is secure, my traits will also help me navigate being a ruler, which is ultimately what matters more than succession. Keikaku doori.

The plan is fairly simple. All I have to do is get the little shit alone with me and cut his throat. No need to tell anyone about the plan. Clairvoyance, which will also be kept a secret, will help me determine the best time to do this, and the freedom of movement about the castle provided by loyal guards gives me opportunities to do it. Combat skills will come in handy just in case he resists a bit. In avoiding suspicion after the fact, my charming and inspiring personality will be helpful. Having Four-Fingered Freddy spread a rumor about a man with a foreign emblem on his cloak being spotted scaling the castle walls will also be greatly helpful; not because I did or anything, Freddie, I really saw him and I just don't want anyone to wrongly suspect me. Once I'm the ruler, skills in law and negotiations will assist me in being a good ruler. Having positive opinions from the commoners, the nobles, the army, and the Church will naturally be helpful at every step of the way. My secret follows me and me alone to the grave.

Here is my build, I mainly aimed at a Merchant-Type, but I also used my knowledge of the rules for rulers.
Basically my game is to make most people aware that their living situation will improve if they side with me.
Once I made sure that most important keystones support me or just stay neutral in the conflict, so that an eventual conflict just ensues in a one-sided massacre of the princes army. Bloodshed should be avoided though, breeding resentment is something that may cause problems later and I don't have enough investment in intrigue to properly deal with this.
Anyhow, back to my brother.
Despite what a cunt he is, I'll try to play nice.
Once my coup starts, I give him the option to quietly relinquish his claim on the throne and retire early in a mansion that will be paid for.
Now, sadly he is unlikely to take it, unless someone manages to convince him that his situation is hopeless.
Otherwise, I will spark a major rebellion and offer the loyalists pardons and gifts if they surrender, and a special prize to that man to capture my brother alive.
Once he is captured, I will offer him the same terms again.
If he doesn't take it this time, I will threaten him that if he declines this time, I will make him take the vows and live the rest of his life as a servant of the church.
If he lies, I will see it and put him under permanent house-arrest.
I am not a kinslayer, so I will not be trying to kill him proactively. If one of my more intrigue-strong allies decides to off him… Then so be it.

Allies: Tom Chaser, Gonbar Barkskin
I can make an awesome court mage, either officially or not depending on sexism. Alchemy allows more than sex to gain allies, fixing problems from sex, and possibly much more. On escape I could easily disappear inna woods and build a nice life elsewhere.
Agnatic Succession
I don't need to rule and even if I am a great ruler the precedent could be damaging later. It will be easier to avoid succession problems and reduce suspicion since I will not go for the throne myself.
Reputation: Commoners -1, Mages +1, Seduction +2
Commoners don't need to love or know much about me. Nobles and other mages are more important. I would accept unofficial rule if the opportunity presents itself, but will not pursue this actively. Unofficial rule could allow a golden age of stability with my long lifespan.
Summary
My goal is not to rule, but to prevent my brother from doing so or at least save myself. I will use my powers/connections kill him when he is outside. Legendary nature magic can trap him and his guards, evocation and other means can kill them, and alchemy can make everything disappear. Plan B is to go inna woods and disappear. Tom Chaser will allow going outside unobserved in either case. My primary risk is that my eccentricity will raise suspicions and cause unwarranted accusations leading to arrest.

I am aware killing him without an obvious successor could be worse than his rule. I am hoping there will be someone else that can take the throne with minimal conflict. If there is no good successor or it all goes wrong I can abort my mission and go Plan B, fleeing without saving them.

On second thought this is perfect and there is no problem if he disappears with no trace. The regent and his named successors will rule with my full support until by brother returns. There will be no reason to have a succession conflict whatsoever.

If you have the points to spend, you could get the "Noble Suitor" perk to shore up your scheme. It'd work perfectly with the intent behind your build.
