Low key, this is one of the most boring isekai CYOAs I've read. I didn't even bother posting my choices because every build feels the same since you pick a class which cuts out 2/3rds of the content, then you pick a school which cuts out 2/3rds of the content, and now all that's left is whether you want an air dash or a pet husky.

I understand what you are saying, but you are wrong.
First you have to pick 6 out of the 24 companions. I'm not particularly fond of companion options myself, but it's less for the sake of characters here and more because you have to choose your party. It's a pretty important part of the build rather than a waifu choice.
The Class/Subclass choices should be looked at less in terms of eliminating options, and more as what they open up. You pick one of 3 classes, the first two of which have 3 sub-classes with multiple sub-sub options. Pick 1 of 3, 1 of 3, and 2 of 6 in most cases, that's plenty of choices to customize yourself. Then there's another 1 of 6 and a 1 of 3 at the end regardless of class.

My personal issue with this CYOA is that there are a couple of fundamental, all-important, potentially game-breaking details that aren't explained properly. Mainly to do with Resurrection and Travel.
If the ONLY way to resurrect a character is with a party member who has that ability, then that heavily restricts part option choices. Many settings and game systems allow for some sort of in-town resurrection (buy an item like a phoenix down, or buy a service from the temple or something).
Time passes in Shower City while exploring Gras Paada, but not the other way around. That puts pretty strict limits on how much time you can spend adventuring at once. Every time you teleport to Gras Paada you end up in a city. If the place you need to go to is a day's travel from the nearest city, you will pretty much never be able to get there. Checkpoint can help with this, but that makes Checkpoint a mandatory pick. It's not specified whether you get one checkpoint at a time (ie you can move it somewhere else), or if you only get one use at all period and wherever you set that checkpoint is permanent. If it's the latter, the game is simply broken beyond being playable at all, the former is horrible design.

These are only your starting abilities and the setting is high fantasy. I'm sure it's safe to assume there are other means of resurrection and a plethora of untold magics throughout the world.
The time thing doesn't seem like much of an issue. There are a number of solutions.
- Keep adventuring & raids to weekends and holidays
- Get someone in your party to focus on learning transport spells to save time
- Drop out of school because your new abilities could easily be used to get all the money you'd want.
- Abandon the normal world and never leave Gras Paada. Seriously. Why would you ever want to leave?
I'm more interested in what the Curious Sword implies. At first I imagined all your abilities and items would be bound to another "you" in Gras Paada but the sword seems to imply that you (abilities and all) along with all your items move between both worlds with each teleport. If you can use your magic, abilities, or items in the normal world that could get abused pretty easily.
I'm also wondering if you get to pick the portal exit location. That could be a pretty neat transport solution.

Actually, the time issue doesn't exist.
On the first page with the blue text "The time in your world will be stopped and you will be brought to another"
And then on the explanatory section "Time doesn't pass in Gras padra while your group is not there"
As for your question though, you already by default can use the soul powers, 4 lines down
"These souls empower their owner, even in shower city." The abuse potential is always available, and the sword lets it go into overdrive. Just remember, mind control is the last ability to unlock.

"Time in your world" means earth. There are 3 worlds at play here: Earth, Shower City, and Gras Paada. Adventuring travel takes days, sometimes even weeks. You might be able to use magic for that later on (might, if it's not explicitly stated in the CYOA there's no guarantee it exists at all), but starting out you basically can't even leave the town so it's going to be extremely difficult getting access to said magic.
YOU might be willing to abandon your second life to focus on the third, but the other party members may not be, especially since unlike you, they have people they care about in Shower City. Plus when they eventually end up dying in Gras Paada they are going to be ejected back to Shower City, where they've now been gone for months.

A good point. I missed the way that was stated. However, going by the logic that if its not stated it may or may not be, there also is no actual statement that you need to adventure during the school year.
You could just do very light adventuring till a major break in the school year. Then do your first major search during spring break or something. When summer comes around, you can do it even longer. You're right, it is a tricky situation, but its more a limitation instead of a total barrier towards victory.
Also, if less importantly, Gras Paada is some level of fantasy world, meaning the travel speeds are going to be at least a bit faster than real world times.
