Gender Sex: Girl
World: Zwei
Boons: Intelligence, Shapeshifting, Eternal
Gift: The Watch
Shapeshifting is only because of Eternal. If I am stuck with these choices forever, I want some flexibility. The Watch was taken for similar reasons.

>actually taking eternal even though it explicitly states it will never end
Are you fags so afraid of death that you'd prefer eternal torment to the threat of non-existence? Just take Shapeshifting for continuously shifting into a younger form.

Nowhere does it say anything about eternal torment. Also, it's an unspoken rule about CYOAs. If there is an immortality option, you always take it.

I'd say continued non-ending existence outside actual existence is one of the worst kinds of hells imaginable, but you do you. In any case, I'd really love to see any of you necrophobes actually live a few millenia, let alone endless aeons, and see how you like it when your frame of reference now is a few puny decades at most.

So refreshing to see someone talk from the height of experience, especially about their vastly superior frame of reference

Why haven't you killed yourself yet? Because you prefer living to death.

Either immortality or mortality will require coping mechanisms to deal with it. Immortality would make it easier to not take life seriously, greatly increasing the coping ability of anyone wise enough to take advantage of this. Avoiding living in the past as an immortal might be difficult, but probably not impossible and life is imperfect no matter what.
>>13148
This. None of us know what it would be like. Taking immortality is a calculated risk. It could end badly, but it might not end worse than mortality and the potential rewards are high.

Currently, but ask me again after floating in a vacuum for a few billion years without even the hope of dying when the universe ends.
>>13152
>calculated risk
It's not a risk, with infinite time the option confirms the eventuality that you will eventually exist eternally outside existence. You are calculating that whatever you will get out of not dying somehow outweights that.

>when the universe ends
Firstly, even in the real world we do not know that the universe will "end". In fact, as far as we know it's impossible for matter or energy to "end". All predictions about what is going to happen billions of years from now are largely just guesses.
Secondly, the universes described in the cyoa do not follow the sad nihilistic dynamism that you seem to believe in. Gods exist, magic exists, other universes exist. I.e. the 'natural laws', as we understand them in the real world, largely do not apply.
Thirdly, you're acting like it's impossible for your state of consciousness to change. If the situation you're describing would happen to take place, it's an inevitability that you would enter a dream or sleep like state due to the lack of stimulus. And your perception of time would alter drastically. That's not really tortuous, just someone mentally degenerating.

Come to think of it, yeah; this guy who apparently has the ultimate knowledge of infinite existence (or at least he appears to believe so) also expects to remain mentally unchanged after the eons that it will take for the universe to (allegedly) end.

Take the planeswalking pocket watch like a smart person. When you're bored living you can go to her universe and tell her to neck you.
I for one would rather end my multiversal grand tour in some mindbreak universe of unending pleasure.
