Going back to the original topic, yes, it SUCKS being a bi guy. Gay guys tell me I'm "just going through a phase" or "confused" or that I "just want to experiment". Women - even some bi women! - tell me that I'm "probably gay or don't know it yet" or "greedy / not capable of monogamy" or "not a real man".
It took YEARS for me to come to terms with being bi, and part of the reason for that was all the bullshit I heard about how bi men were just confused fags. Mainly trans because trans people are the most likely to end up homeless/hungry/jobless just for coming out, but not exclusively. They've helped friends of mine. On the ground, there's actually a lot of overlap between LGBT. maybe because of the internet a lot of people don't realise that the bulk of the LGBT community still happens in meatspace not online, but in the real world I can't even see how this 'separation' wouldn't be top-down imposed formalism.
