Pixar released another trailer for Soul today. It's better than the other trailer but that's not saying much. The designs for humans are pretty ugly, the other world looks boring and uninspired, and this entire story just seems like a rather generic 'life is good' plot

Humans are ugly & swollen. Also notice how the middle school class is completely brown. Heck every human in the city is brown. Also hate how it's a movie about life & the after life but nothing is particularly Christian in nature despite you know being the dominate religion in the US. Even blacks tend to be religious too. So why is the movie afraid to use Christian or Catholic imagery?

It does because America is not predominantly black & it immediately alienates the international crowd aka China because they don't like blacks either. If it's a movie about the afterlife then there needs to be some kind of basis. If it's just blobs & white light then it's horribly uninspired. It's a waste of a concept.
