Those of you who've been here long enough (probably all of you if you were determined enough to come to 8kun) will know the drill: submit pictures of comic and cartoon characters (no backgrounds), preferably from stuff that released this year or is a /co/ meme. We put them in a /co/llage, slap on some season's greetings, and on Christmas Day we send the card off to whatever boards we like.
New art of /co/nrad to use would be appreciated as well, but we can always reuse older stuff if we have to.

Nearly half the year was dedicated to loitering on bunkers since August because 8ch was kicked off the clearnet and even now its not completely 100%. People are still waiting for it to become stable to fully move back. I still remember when /co/ anons were scrambling between smugloli and vch just to figure out where everyone was and to regroup.
I plan on adding far more /co/ stuff too, this Christmas should celebrate how people are still together and the coming launch of a full fledged 8kun that can withstand any attacks thrown at it.

What a mess. I can see there are strong opinions here on the subject of what is/isn't appropriate for the card, but I hope it won't fan the flames too much if I chime in.
First off, while the tone may be a bit too harsh, I agree with the sentiment that the card ought to be kept /co/. There's no reason to put in other boards. When you're making a Christmas card in real life, you don't call up all your siblings, parents, in-laws, aunts, uncles, and third cousins twice removed to come pose, do you? It's just your immediate family, i.e. your spouse and kids, maybe the family pet. But you still express the sentiment of the family bond through the act of sending your extended family said Christmas card after making it, which is what we do as well.
Secondly, as I stated before, I think trying to integrate this year's history to such an extent goes beyond the scope of a simple Christmas card. All cards thus far have to a degree made references to events of their year, but to reference every bunker and affected board is akin to trying to weave a modern-day Bayeux tapestry, which would require extensive input from the other big boards as well and is probably more suited as a /b/ project.
That said, I'm not a full purist and see no problem referencing Julay, the one bunker with an actual /co/ board, as a way of reaching out to our /co/mrades who have yet to return. The burning 8chan and the 8kun spaceship in addition to that are enough references to our tumultuous year, and other boards will understand and emphasize with the imagery.
Should there still be disagreement, it's fine to express that, but I hope certain anons manage to remain civil about that. Bringing invidious speech to a discussion on what to put on a well-wishing card is most unbecoming. Theoretically we're all adults here, and should be able to carry ourselves in such a manner.
Now, as for the actual card. I've integrated the lost souls from >>1070244 as well as the renders provided by >>1070229 . Additionally, I added in an Elsa and a render of the Julay mascot. Still looking for a good Klaus render, preferably of him riding his sleigh in the sky, and tomorrow I'll try to find something for Toy Story 4 and Lego Movie 2 (since they're small, it'll be easy to put them in the foreground without blocking out others). Then I can still use the limited free space in the stage right background to include assorted relevant comic/cartoon characters, probably Star and some others.

From my point of view, when all your extended family all lived in the same apartment complex and some cripple burned it down, you're all kinda stuck outside trying to stay together during the difficult time. Especially when the new housing complex still needs to have its plumbing repaired and many of the previous renters haven't moved in yet because of it, including a lot of people from this very board. I added the renders from >>1070265 to the card (thanks for those), as well as Star and Steven whose shows ended this year, and Jucika. Gave up on finding a good Klaus render so I went with Jesper instead (that's fitting too, right? Since we're delivering a card). No Santa in the sky left the upper left corner free for our well-wishes, so I added those as well.
Barring any flying characters we can put in front of the trees, I'd say the card is reaching capacity. We can add maybe one more character.

Dropping in this final version as well. Not much to say about it, I added the last call characters as well as a reference to the Infinity Cup, and mostly focused on trying to remove the more obvious cases of artifacts. Not adding Twilight; we'll already have every /pol/ack revealing their power level to kvetch about Steven being there, no need to make things even worse.
Sorry about the radio silence these last days. Life got busy and admittedly the thread's atmosphere didn't have me rushing to return, but I did keep watch.
With the card done, all that's left is to spread it tomorrow to the other boards. I've a small list in mind already, but if anyone has any suggestions I'll take those as well (keep in mind however that a lot of boards might not yet be restored).
