What you're actually complaining about is the number of shows inspired by Adventure Time. Summer Camp Island was created by a former animator and story/staff writer on Adventure Time. OK K.O.! was created by a storyboard supervisor for Adventure Time. Steven Universe was created by a storyboard artist for Adventure Time. Thundercats Roar was developed by guys that worked on OK K.O., which was created by a storyboard supervisor for Adventure Time.
What we're enduring is like what happened with Dexter's Lab and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast in the 90s: show does surprisingly well and the people involved go off to make more cartoons. Only now with more pastels.
