If you were ever in the position to write Spider-Man, what story would you want to tell?

Parker in New York has been done to death. I would prefer writing something about alternate reality Parker. One from Earth 8351, who decided to protect loved ones by removing himself from their lives, and instead went on to become an assassin and honed his abilities. He is stronger than 616 Spider-Man, has better equipment, his web-shooters can fire web bullets, and his spider sense is a short term precognition. Writing a story about a head of security who tries to protect targets from Spider-Man assassin would be interesting.

Essentially a modern tokusatsu Spider-man. Peter Parker is played out though so I'd probably make him a completely new character with his own history. No ties to armored heroes like Ironman. His suit is all his own.

It's actually the origin story of the spidey silk and it's secret ingredient…jizz. All the open legged web swinging outside made Spiderman impotent, hence suicide by substitute rope. It's a tragedy.

Being biten by a radioactive spider gave Peter Parker an unnaturally long life and also made him quite sterile. The year is now 2089. Everyone Peter loved is dead and Peter has long since given up on being Spider-Man. His spidey sense has turned into a sort of precognition that extends to the area around him. So he is constantly bombarded by scenes of every possible danger to himself and those around him. As such Peter has moved away from the city and lives the life of a hermit innawoods, but what happens when Peter senses a danger that manages to not only endanger him in his exile but also a world that is very different from the one he knew.

I would like a story where Peter comes across some troubled kid with superpowers who's comitted a few crimes, but nothing serious, and he enters some sort of plea deal where the kid doesn't have to go to jail and Spiderman willo try and turn him around, but if he can't Spidey's end of the agreement is to serve jail time, or publicly reveal himself or something. Basically put him in a dad role but he's agreeing to risk his life because he believes the kid is actually good.
An important note would be to make sure the kid has his own cool, distinct superpower completely different to Spidey. So while Parker has to teach him what it means to be a hero and how to keep going in life despite all the bad, he can't directly teach the kid HOW to be a hero and he has to figure that out separately.

Peter doesn't fuck up with the symbiote and actually takes responsibility for the fact that the fucking thing is a child and it's "evil" is just the result of his TEST spiking thanks to his newfound friend- the nighttime jobs and separation-withdrawal are the only issue he needed to address. Also- fuck that klintar bullshit- fuck off forever with it- the Symbiote is the last of it's kind. Period. I'd like to say rather than cock up, they end up separated due to different circumstances and the thing thinks Peter is dead or has betrayed it- leading to Venom- and Peter trying to work things out to better degree before he makes peace and Venom fucks off to an island before maximum carnage.
The Maximum carnage saga has lasting effects and most importantly reference and lingering so and so because it's supposed to be a literal second 9/11 except Cap had to step in- there's going to be those pink symbiotes from Spiderman on the PS1 and some of the plot with Otto and the fog- and some bits from web of shadows- Fuckers took out of 1/4th of NYC- never mind the whole Christian terrorist Demogoblin and the shit that caused down the line.
Maximum Carnage II Spiderman PS1 with Cap, Doc Strange and Venom and other NYC capes under Slaver Symbiote control. A big issue with Carnage is that they tried to make him into the Joker when the dude is really just a textbook serial killer with a mutant symbiote that turns NYC into what I can only describe as a unwanted 80's to 90's slasher movie sequel 3rd installment where the budget clearly shows and everything goes from dark and gritty to a gore-splatterfest where everything is unbelievably surreal and campy.
Doc Strange's part deals with the notion that symbiotes are technically Cosmic Space best buddy condoms, and this one is pulling some Lovecraftian shit that was supposed to have been sealed on a meta-genetic level and this entire massacre is doing to Ghostbusters Gozer summoning shit- and we try to rework the shitfest that was that Carnage run where they tried lovecraft but fucked it halfway through and up to the end.

It's exposed that something Mephisto did rendered his deal from One More Day invalid and Peter's life snaps back to normal except that people don't know his secret identity. He's married and May exists, but Peter doesn't have any memory of these years as one last fuck you by Mephisito. This isn't a problem with his family, Mary Jane knows this kind of thing happens with the cosmic crap Marvel heroes gets caught in. The problem is everything else: He can't tell when JJJ is just fucking with him or actually did make a change to policy, new villains pop up that he can't remember the weaknesses of, and he was in the middle of an investigation before he lost his memory and has to work off some badly written notes to figure out what he was doing.

Well, first of all, I'd just undo One More Day immediately. I don't care if its a detailed arc or a throwaway result of hypertime, I don't care what people want to keep and what they want to get rid of, I just trash OMD and move on from there.
Following the lead from Spiderverse, Peter is divorced, Aunt May can be alive or dead, I don't really care. He's older, he's a bit grizzled, and he's in a rough patch in his life. His villains are also getting up there in years. The main focus of my run would be on change, growing pains and what Peter wants to do with the next phase of his life.

This what if has been done at least 3 times, but in my story, Peter wouldn't fuck up as a team leader and would become competent over time. If he could manage a full class of 15 year olds, a smaller class of tiny delinquent X-men and hold Daily Bugle building on his shoulders for several minutes, he can do this.
Highlights:
>MJ is their manager, she is staying in the background doing their taxes and making their PR less catastrophically bad
>They seriously hate Stark and his avengers for trying to send Bruce to space that one time
>Kevin the sentient cheese is there, inhabiting robot body. He is like Peter's own Ultron, except not homicidal, not trying to take over the world and loves Peter unconditionally
>Herbie is much bigger and has weapons now, paired with Kevin and is acting as bodyguard to MJ
>MJ had power armor, just in case
>Peter is acting grieving widow of Reed Richards, losing his shit every time someone implying that he was less than perfect
>the new fantasticar is named after Johnny Storm (the stormin' something-something)
>Ben Grimm raises his nephew in suburbs meanwhile
>Franklin misses his folks a whole lot, especially his mom
>Danny Ketch ended up being a bullied kid of the group somehow
>Peter wants him to penance stare various inanimate objects, for science
>Ben Reilly is patrolling streets of NY full time now
>The new F4 stole the cure for cancer from Wakanda and made it opensource, because fuck status quo, that's why (also because the kid who collects spider man)
>It was a nearly perfect crime so all T'Challa can do is stare indignantly, tho, cudos on the Four's hard-earned competence and teamwork
>Surprisingly nice relationship with DOOOOOOOOM

How do Hulk & Logan fit in?

Peter-Logan relationship go way back to that Christopher Priest's one-shot where Ned Leeds died and Peter accidentally Logan's spy gf with a hand through her chest, Hulk and Logan have kind of mutual hatred that goes way back, but can work together if needed, Peter sacrificed his potential position with Avengers to save Bruce/Hulk once (he thought they want him capture Hulk so he could be imprisoned so he deliberately failed that mission and was not allowed to be in the main roster), Bruce would probably have the same kind of sympathy and respect for Peter as Matt has, i.e. Peter was dealt a bad hand in life but he refuses to become a jaded broken man and is always able to make sense out of life. Peter also befriends with Bruce despite his personality flaws - I mean he forgave Harry after everything he's done to him, Bruce's dry sarcasm is like gentle pats in the back compared to that.
Don't forget that they have to deal with FF villains, X-men villains, Peter's personal haters (Ben takes care of the rest), general Ross, US government (Cap helps to work that relationship out), Canadian government and forces of hell.
That reminds me,
>Doom doesn't mind them too much because they wrecked Mephisto's shit so hard the soul of Doom's mom was able to get away
>Doom had a hand in preparing Wakanda heist
Also,
>Bruce and Peter work on making Reed inventions safe and easy to use instead of inventing new shit - they had to sacrifice their ambitions to keep the team afloat
Also
>Peter tried to get his doctorate done total 4 times
>each time something progressively worse happened either to his loved ones or to ESU itself, so he was forces to quit every time
>each attempt was on different subject because
>Bruce takes pity on him and acts as his professor as he tries to get his shit together and make 4 different papers into one Frankenstein abomination
>The day Peter has to defend his thesis, Fin Fang Foom attacks ESU building
>Peter still does it among the ruins of his alma mater
>"Ok, that's enough doctorates for me"
>was that PhD cursed? we'll never know

>If you were ever in the position to write Spider-Man, what story would you want to tell?
I'd want to tell the story of what the fuck Mephisto wanted with their marriage. It would be a three issue arc. Mephisto would keep the reality where they were still married in a sealed infernal vault, and, when no one was looking, he'd go in there and pretend to be Spider-Man as a hero and Peter as a man who was loved by many people. It would be his secret shame and addiction. In the second issue of the arc, D'Spayre would find out about it and, in the third issue, would fuck with it when Mephisto was busy on Earth being a cunt. When he returned, rubbing his hands in anticipation of another session as Peter, he'd find that Maryjane wanted a divorce, that Aunt May had disowned him, and that J. Jonah Jameson had committed suicide, citing Peter's Civil War identity reveal as Spider-Man as the reason. His fun ruined, Mephisto would go on a tear, interrogating other demons like Nightmare and C'thon, before finally figuring out who the real culprit was. D'spayre, unfazed by Mephisto's anger, would threaten to reveal his activities to everyone if he didn't fuck right off. This would lead to another story arc a year or so later where Mephisto would be blackmailed by D'spayre into doing his dirty work. Meph, sick of being his flunky, would enlist Dr. Strange for help, promising him one free wish without tricks in return for helping him. Strange would demand to know what D'spayre had on him, and Mephisto would eventually 'fess up. Strange would then claim the free wish and demand Mephisto give the Parkers back their marriage. Pete and Maryjane would "finally" get married, and D'spayre would have no more leverage over Mephisto. Mephisto, impressed but annoyed that his original dickery was thwarted, would congratulate Strange on his cunning and leave. The epilogue would be stopping by the Parker nuptials to give Pete a little fatherly advice that his marriage was sacred, and that he should consider it as important as his very soul. A confused Peter thanks him as the minister informs them that it's time for them to take their places for the wedding. Strange smiles as he leaves, and Reed Richards asks him what that was all about. Strange says "I'll tell you about it after the ceremony."
>Note to any current Marvel writers who are snooping here: you can have the story, but you'd better not fucking change anything or I'll find you and insert my arm all the way to the shoulder in your mouth.

Rewrite where Peter trades his marriage and unborn child to bring Aunt May back to life.
Either have her refuse, have her tell him her and uncle Ben are disappointed with that choice and they call him a dumbass for trading the next generation of Parkers for her geriatric ass.
That or she comes back to life but dies a few weeks/months later due to old age or an illness she was hiding from Peter. Proving that you can't out smart the devil.
