Carmen is, was, and always has been a villain. She was a force of nature who stole not simply because she was evil, but because it was fun. She stole national landmarks because it was the only thing she could have fun doing anymore, as this was the biggest challenge. One time, she stole the letter ñ from the entire fucking Spanish language. Hispanohablantes everywhere couldn’t tell you how old anything was without making reference to the opening of someone’s rectum, all because Carmen got bored one day and decided it’d be really funny if she stole a letter from a language. And she never, ever got caught for it, not for very long. What she does is selfish, causes mass hysteria, is arguably actively harmful to some, and to top it all off, her reasons for doing so are petulant and are mainly done to stoke her own ego. She is not some misunderstood good girl.
