West has right to give Ukraine nukes – EU lawmaker

Radoslaw Sikorski urged countries to “dissuade” Russia from using nuclear weapons against Ukraine

The West could provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons to help defend itself against Russia, Radoslaw Sikorski, a member of the European Parliament and former Polish foreign minister, said.

“The West has the right to give Ukraine nuclear warheads so that it could protect its independence,” Sikorski told Ukraine’s Espreso TV on Saturday.

Sikorski, who served as Poland’s foreign minister between 2007 and 2014, argued that Russia violated the Budapest Memorandum.

Under the 1994 document signed by Ukraine, Russia, Britain, and the US, Kiev agreed to surrender its Soviet-era nuclear arsenal. The signatories promised to “respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine.”

On Sunday, Sikorski reiterated his position, accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of threatening Ukraine with nuclear weapons and arguing that the West must “dissuade” him.

Last month, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexey Zaytsev denied that Moscow was planning to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine. He said that claims to the contrary are “deliberate lies.”

“There will be no winners in a nuclear war, and it must not happen,” he said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky brought up the Budapest Memorandum during a security conference in Munich, Germany on February 19. He warned that the arrangement will “not work” any longer unless the country’s security is guaranteed in full.

“Ukraine received security guarantees in exchange for the disposal of the world’s third-largest nuclear potential. We don’t have such weapons. We don’t have the guarantees either,” Zelensky said.

Putin said in March that the acquisition of nuclear weapons by Ukraine would pose a “real threat” to Russia.

Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24, following Kiev’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.

The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.

The father of 19-year-old Horace Lorenzo Anderson will receive $500,000 in a settlement with the city of Seattle nearly two years after his son was shot and killed in the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone.

Anderson’s father, also named Horace, filed a complaint in November 2021 against former Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, Councilmember Kshama Sawant, and the city of Seattle. The lawsuit alleged that these city leaders encouraged CHOP zone occupants to break the law and put people’s lives in danger, which ultimately led to Anderson’s death, according to The Seattle Times.

“Durkan, the lawsuit claimed, downplayed the illegal behavior and ‘celebrated the existence, message and methods of CHOP and CHOP participants’ even as police officials, including then-Chief Carmen Best, warned of increasing mayhem and violence around Cal Anderson Park,” the Times noted.

Anderson was killed after getting into a confrontation with 18-year-old Marcel Long in the CHOP zone on June 20, 2020. Another 33-year-old man was also reportedly shot in the incident.

“Bad blood between the two young men led Long to allegedly shoot Anderson on the sidewalk across the street from Cal Anderson Park, according to police,” the Times previously reported.

Long was arrested after a year-long search and charged with first-degree murder in July 2021. He pleaded not guilty.

The Seattle Police Department abandoned its East Precinct on Capitol Hill 12 days before Anderson was allegedly shot and killed by Long. The decision to leave the precinct came after 10 days of protests and rioting in the area following the death of George Floyd in late May 2020.

After Anderson was allegedly shot, evidence showed that medics did not immediately enter the CHOP zone to attend to him, citing a policy for police presence to go in first and clear the way for medics in scenes of violence. Police claimed a hostile crowd prevented them from entering the CHOP zone to clear the way for medics. Anderson reportedly had to be treated by civilians and taken to Harborview Medical Center in the back of a pickup truck.

The lawsuit against the city claims Anderson would have survived his wounds had medics been able to get to him immediately.

Two weeks after Anderson’s death, his father appeared on Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News to discuss his heartbreak and frustration with the city and police department. “The only way I found out was just two of his friends, just two friends that just happened to be up there and they came and told me,” Horace said during the emotional interview. “They weren’t even from Seattle. Now, mind you, I haven’t heard — the police department, they never came …”

He added, “Someone should’ve came and knocked on my door and … should’ve been, like, coming to talk to me and let me know about my son. To this day, I really don’t know nothing. I’m still here sitting. I don’t know nothing.”

Mitt Romney: A Donald Trump Comeback Would Render America ‘Incurable’

A political comeback by Donald Trump would render America’s “denial, deceit, and distrust” “incurable,” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) argued on July 4.

In an Atlantic op-ed entitled, “America Is in Denial,” the failed 2012 Republican presidential candidate scolded Americans for “blithely dismissing threats that could prove cataclysmic.” Chief among those threats is Trump, who “would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable,” according to Romney.

“I have witnessed time and again—in myself and in others—a powerful impulse to believe what we hope to be the case,” Romney continued. “A classic example of denial comes from Donald Trump: ‘I won in a landslide.’ Perhaps this is a branch of the same delusion that leads people to feed money into slot machines: Because I really want to win, I believe that I will win.”

In contrast, Romney praised President Joe Biden as “a genuinely good man” despite reports that the president took part in the Biden family’s corrupt business schemes at least 13 times.

“President Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust. A return of Donald Trump would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable,” Romney wrote.

“I hope for a president who can rise above the din to unite us behind the truth,” Romney added.” Several contenders with experience and smarts stand in the wings; we added watch to see if they also possess the requisite character and ability to bring the nation together in confronting our common reality.”

It is unclear who Romney is referencing as “several contenders with experience and smarts” who may want to run in 2024. Polling shows Trump leading in a hypothetical GOP primary — holding a 40-point advantage over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) — if he decides to run, according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris survey. Polling in third place is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) with only eight percent.

On the Democrat side, Biden is more narrowly leading in the polls over Vice President Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) may also have plans to run in 2024, but polling has not yet captured voters’ interest in him.

After the brief diversion, however, the federal police do not leave. Judge Manning then tries to intimidate me demanding I roll my wheelchair to the rear of the courtroom. I told her I am an electronic journalist and wish to be upfront to observe and hear good. One of the federal police stands up and started over to me, to forcibly remove me.

Under threat, I rolled over to sit right near one of the federals with his intercom in his ear.

Suddenly the Judge changes her mind and the witnesses were called such as me. I was asked what I do. Looking right at Judge Manning, I told her I investigate crooked judges for the purpose of putting them in jail. Pointing to the reputed spy for Coca-Cola who confessed to me in the presence of others, I detailed what was said. The reputed spy did not, however, appear to deny my interviews with him about his sister.

In the Kolody case, the two defendants are The Coca-Cola Company and their marketing adjunct, Simon Marketing. Simon's alleged attorney was asked why she did not inform the Court that Simon had merged and is now part of Cyrk, Inc. The attorney, Jacqueline A. Criswell [law firm Tressler, Soderstrom, Maloney & Priess(312) 627-4000] told Judge Manning that she did not know of the merger.

Apparently not adequately revealed in the Court record is that Criswell does NOT represent Simon Marketing but rather, the insurance carrier under an errors and omission policy carried by many corporations. And the name of the insurance company has not been disclosed in the Court record. Also, Cyrk has reportedly failed to inform the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission of the Kolody suit as required by SEC regulations.

From all the known facts, it appears that there may be a scam underway to rip off the insurance carrier. No great surprise. Illinois and Texas are havens for pirate insurance companies and havens for massive insurance frauds, because of crooked state insurance regulators.

Coke appears to be fraudulently shifting the multi-million dollar damage claim against them, for theft of intellectual property, so their former marketing adjunct, Simon, would take the blame to be underwritten by the insurance company.

Coca-Cola's advertising agency DDB, may be part of a huge price-fixing and market-tampering mess. Advertising agencies become privy to tremendous financial and political secrets of their clients. Such as: the market demographics. Data on profiling would-be customers. Price trends. Political trends that effect marketing products. Problems needed to be "fixed" and judges and others necessary to be corrupted, for the benefit of their clients.

Where the product sells the best, so as to put a related business unit right nearby. Point-of-purchase strategies.

Closely scrutinizing DDB's website is helpful: http://www.ddbn.com

DDB, once called Needham, has been trying to stay low-key on the fact that they represent PEPSI-COLA at the same time they represent their alleged "competitor" COCA-COLA.

That sort of an arrangement is both unethical and may well be a violation of the U.S. Anti-Trust laws. The purpose is to freeze out smaller companies like Royal Crown Cola and others, with Pepsi and Coke together controlling the prices among themselves, dividing up markets among themselves, setting the wholesale price per-case of soda pop in a way to screw smaller firms, and then jacking up the price for themselves, and similar federal price-fixing and market-fixing law violations.
