Besides soy, I know you guys can't live without it.

Pic related, I'm not a Med, but I fucking love garlic, I put that shit in everything. When I need to snack on something, I eat it raw with a piece of cheese or something. I don't really notice or care about the smell, but I'm a NEET so it practically doesn't matter.

I also really like olive oil and use it instead of other kinds of oil or butter whenever possible.

This. I can't think of anything I don't put this shit in. Regular soy sauce is good, but tamari soy sauce is just better.

Man onions are the best, i use atleast 2 medium-sized one every time i make food even if i only make a single meal for myself!

They're cheap too so i dont get it why many people seem appalled when i say how much i use onions when they only put like 1 small one diced into nothingness on a large serving of food for several people.

Like shit it's not gonna do anything, it's like putting a single fucking flake of pepper on a pepper-sauce…

Garlic and olive oil are the 2 staple foods I use in virtually every dish I prepare, with onions probably being close to being a staple as well. They're all just so versatile and lend flavor so easily to pretty much anything savory. You really can just throw them in shit and it just makes the dish better, regardless of the recipe. It's also really hard to fuck up the quantities used, since it's basically the same amount just scaled up or down for any recipe (though I know there are a lot of people hate "too much garlic").

Ancestors cooked with the lard from the meat they cooked. They spit-roasted the pig and the lamb whole, and used the leftover bones and hooves for stews and jelly.

They didn't go to the local k-mart to buy skinless chicken breast.
