That episode has problems no doubt. The main issue should be why Jesus, if god, would get tempted by satan's kingdom and everything that entails. Did satan create these things that Jesus could not possess, causing him to be tempted? One wonders what satanic indulgences occupied Jesus' mind and heart for 40 days.
