Hello Cathodox brothers and sisters in Christ, let us have a thread devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Theotokos and Queen of Heaven and Earth, who rules alongside her son, our Lord and God Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Theotokos Virgin, rejoice, Mary full of grace, the Lord is with You. Blessed are You among women, and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have borne the Savior of our souls.
The Blessed Virgin, having been overshadowed by the Holy Spirit, became the New Eve, conceiving Christ and becoming the ark of the New Covenant, the tabernacle of God, and in time her son would build the new Temple of God, his bride the Church, modeled after his own mother Mary, our Queen and intercessor, mother of all the faithful in heaven and on earth, being granted these privileges by the grace of her son and God, Jesus Christ.
'''Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death Amen.'''
Mary's prayers are the most powerful of all the saints, pray to her and ask for her intercession daily. Peace be to you all in the name of the most holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God forever. Amen.
Protestants are not allowed in this thread. However, pray for them my fellow Cathodox, that they may repent of their heresies against Mary and may come to honor her as Queen.

>Protestants are not allowed in this thread.
That never works.
>Praise the Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix of All Graces, and Advocate for the People of God.
True and based.
>No one is saved without Mary, the mother of God
So, the argument for this is no graces thus no sacraments and no salvation? I see the logic in that.

Ah yes, because Luther sure hated Mary and Lutherans don't ever venerate her or anything.

It has to do with Original Sin and how Mary, the Blessed Virgin, was born without original sin and never committed actual sin, not even venial.
It goes back to the sin of Eve. Mary is the Ark of the new covenant, who gave birth to the Word.
When I pray the rosary, I always pray for Grace.
Hail Mary, full of Grace is straight out of the Bible. Luke 1:28

We orthodox don't believe she had a pre-lapsarian nature.
In my view, you mock her by saying she could not give birth to God from her piety alone.

Interesting but I don't care.
>In my view, you mock her by saying she could not give birth to God from her piety alone.
I am only concerned with the view of the Apostles and the Church established by Jesus Christ.

I sound kinda snide.
I'll explain: I came here looking for a Catholic who could explain things to me. (not really there yet)
Until the Bishop gets around this covid thing and allows me to be confirmed, I'm not under any obligation to try and convert people. I believe it was the council of Florence that forbid the common laity from even trying. I accept the teachings of the Holy Mother Church, all of it… even if I don't know it yet! I try and be obedient. That kinda blew away Father when I went for instruction.
I'd tell you why I believe, but it is ironically heresy.

Pretty sure she is the spouse of God the Father, as in "I believe in God the Father Almighty, the creator of Heaven and Earth, and in His only Son, Jesus Christ…".
If I'm wrong correct me.

I think the Latins have it a little backwards with how you see the relationship between Mary and the Holy Spirit. I think Mary is more of an "image" or "symbol" of the Holy Spirit rather than the bride. You see, I come from a family of Syriac speaking Christians (which is a dialect of Aramaic and is related to the Aramaic Jesus spoke) and the Holy Spirit is actually feminine and is considered feminine by the early Syriac theologians. Besides, Mary is more like a reverse Eve, as Eve came out of Adam, so Jesus comes out of Mary. In a sense, Christ has two nativities. When he enters the cosmos as God in his conception, and then when he is actually born into the human world. I respect the Latin tradition, and I think St. Maximilian Kolbe had it right when he said Mary is like a "quasi-incarnation" of the Holy Spirit (just so Protestants don't take that out of context, no that does not mean Mary is actually the person of the Holy Spirit as Jesus is the actual person of the Son, Mary is not God) but I just think he got a little confused on the roles. But then again, in Latin the Holy Spirit's gender is masculine, which is why I respect your tradition. It's complementary.

Despite what the sticky says about Christian fellowship, it seems the board is about trying to get the other guy's goat.
I was trying to convey that The Catholics say it is a mortal sin to study false religions (without prior approval) without calling them false, because that would offend you.
The stutter was intentional to show I was mincing the words to make a nice post.

No. this is not true. there is a facton inside the Church that contradicts even the magesterium and the current pope and claims this. They have not been able to change the theology so they are trying to change the "doctrine" by propagandising this point over and over again. The BVM is not co-redemptrix. this is not what the Church teaches. It is however what a certain heretical bent within the Church is trying to spread. MIstrust these peopl with all your might.

Some Facts:
God the Father Almighty is the Father of God the Son Our Lord. Both are eternal.
Mary was the Mother of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, who walked the earth as True God and True man (Pope Francis saying otherwise notwithstanding and was a mistake)
Jesus Christ was conceived by God The Holy Ghost.
The Blessed Virgin was married to Saint Joseph.
Thanks for reading, your Friend.

I've noticed this trend that when papists and their church use terms like "apostles" and "apostolic" they actually mean to use words like "pope" and "popish"
