Just today i have been experiencing tingling on one of my moles, i suspect that i may have skin cancer/Melanoma. How can i cope with this that my death may be near? I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and put my trust in him alone, so i know that i have Eternal Salvation. i am worried that i will die to early before i can raise a family.

Sorry to hear that anon, get it checked by the doctor as soon as you can, but remember, it's cancer, not the zombie plague, you have a lot more time than you think even with melanoma, which you might not have anyway. I remember being terrified out of my mind by Covid back in February. That was relatively minor, but I have a weak immune system from childhood so I wasn't in a good place.

Based on my limited experience, things go slowly. Remember to love God, because whatever comes your way is for your own salvation. If only I had realized that sooner. The spiritual life is a no pain, no gain kind of thing. Pray from the heart daily, even if only a few times a day and you will do well no matter what happens.

Ah, chill then.

My dad had it last year.

Got it fixed in 2 weeks(well, 4, since we had to wait 2 more for all the tests to confirm there are no more malign cells).

That is assuming you have anything at all, that is.

Just go to the doctor, youll be fine, one way or another.

The angels envy us for they cant suffer for God and prove their love in that manner, so we are to unite our sufferings to that of Christ as Paul says ' Now I rejoice in what I am suffering for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church.' .

Also as God tells Paul when he complained about an ailment "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.".

Remember the beatitudes, the ones who suffer are blessed and the ones who have it all have it harder to save their souls.

Suffering has meritorious power, through the cross God saved, through the cross we become like Him and can help our souls and other's souls.

Wonderful text on suffering by Saint Jean Vianney:

Your conclusion must be like that of Paul's: "Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me."

I know its hard for such a worldly generation like ourselves to have that point of view of suffering, but its the truth, have strength.
