>One has to be permitted to think about and discuss the issues,” the German archbishop said on Aug. 19. He argued that “Ordinatio sacerdotalis,” St. John Paul II’s 1994 letter that stated the church cannot ordain women as priests, was positioned as a response to those who considered women’s ordination “open to debate” and affirmed the male-only priesthood “in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance.”

>Archbishop Hesse said new arguments had emerged in the conversation around women’s ordination that needed to be addressed. “The historical perspective is one thing—but it isn’t everything,” he said.

Cannon law says priest can only be baptized men.

This is heresy and there is nothing to be discussed.

Nor is this Hess an Archbishop any longer.

His preaching violates Catholic law.

He can tell the laypeople why women can't be priest, but to discuss it is heresy.

Priests are to be men, who have wives and children of their own. Why do Catholics not follow the Bible? Why deny a priest a wife, yet allow him to have sex with little boys?

>1 Timothy 2:12-15

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

>1 Corinthians 14:34-35

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

>1 Timothy 3:1-5

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4 one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (for if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

If the Church teaching says No women priest…

And those who deny church teaching are heretics and outside the church…

Then saying woman can be priest is heresy and he is outside the church.

You say the other heretics call him an Archbishop still. It's not what the heretics say, it's Church law and What God almighty says.

I think we can all agree that he's being heretical, but he's still an archibishop just like Francis is still the catholic pope. It would good to see him removed of course.

Except that Archbishop Heße never explicitly supported the ordination of women and therefore holds no material heresy.

He's not teaching Catholic Cannon either, and that is what he is ordained to do!. He should be up there saying no women can be ordained, end of story, nothing to discuss.

Instead, he's inviting the sin of heresy.

Stop making excuses for this.
