>if you don't subscribe to the Essence Energy Distinction you are going to hell!

>absolute divine simplicity is a damnable heresy!

Is Jay Dyer right? Is this really that important? He says this flawed understanding of the Trinity is why Catholics are not the true church.

Anyone who is so legalistic that they say having a piece of doctrine wrong that isn't faith in Christ alone and repentance, should be dismissed out of hand. Would you really get any sleep if you had to worry about having a total picture of theology right in your puny human mind? We're supposed to be believing in the simplicity of Christ as little children. a little child isn't even going to think about free will or The Trinity. I think,, if anything, Jay Dyer is going to hell for causing young Christians with differing thoughts, to stumble.

>Give me your tythe!

>oh, and you're saved! Don't worry, got your back. Go ahead and sin!

Literally every protestant denomination out there.

that they say having a piece of doctrine wrong that isn't faith in Christ alone and repentance is, of necessity, damning*…

Although if you deny the existence of the Holy Spirit like Unitarians or you are Mormon or Gnostic or something stupid like that, then yeah, you're probably in danger of hellfire. But really these finer points like Calvinism and contemplating the mystery of the Trinity (while holding that all persons therein are God). Well, I can only hope God is going to wink at our ignorance in these areas because we'd all be fraught with vexation if we had to get all these other things right (unless of course we were very smug like Mr. Dyer).

Yeah, when everyone makes a church most of them will be stupid and have doctrine that makes people's lives convenient. Now tell me how Catholicism wasn't the first schismatic church and why Reformed Baptist churches shouldn't be granted the same preeminence as your stupid church, the leaders of which have made altars for strange Gods. If anything Catholicism should be dismissed out of hand as an abomination now that pope John Paul did his thing and all the modern popes have followed in his footsteps. Oh look how popular my doctrine of the devil is, surely this is God's anointed church. No, the anointed nation was Israel, not Babylon or Greece, the anointed son of Jesse was David, tending sheep out in the field, and the true Christian church will likewise be some tiny insignificant denomination that has sound doctrine, not the massive Catholic Church with its various idolatries and blasphemies.

Jay Dyer is such an autist, I don't know how he isn't a sede or something. In neurotypical land, doctrine follows practice. Doctrine is to defend a practice, that's it. Taking grace as something created stems from a heterodox worldview that nourished it.

Not that most even know that energy just means grace, what their sect believes or the consequences of it.

winnie the pooh Jay Dyer

>2018, be me

>agnostic, bordering on apathetic

>start rediscovering Christianity

>since I was highly online, and took 2 semesters of Russian in college, and a history nerd, Jay Dyer and the Orthodox crowd sucked me in

>saw all the orthoboo memes mocking protestants, I agreed with them as I viewed the modern world as highly corrupt and toxic

>Learned more and more, eventually the Orthodox view of hell and their distributed architecture vs Papist bulls— sealed it for me

>Started attending a mission church in my city

>begomecatechumen.jpg

>Started attending cathechumen classes/catechesis

>8 months later I left, I had had enough endless mocking of protestants in these classes, not that I was protestant, agreed with any of it or even knew about their doctrines, but the incessant b—-ing about them was just so winnie the pooh offputting and childish. Like a butthurt lefty in 2016 or a dumped ex. Talk about your church more or just shut the winnie the pooh up. Its 2 years later and it still kind of pisses me off that I sat through all that.

>decided to take a breather after pascha service; I did not have a good time, in fact, for some reason I hated it. I tried to like it, I knew I should be liking it, but something just felt really really wrong about being there.

>2 months into breather so many issues with orthodoxy arose that I felt I couldn't go back

>started learning about other sects; mostly just Catholicism and various forms of Protestantism

>learned Catholics aren't the schismatics that Orthodox like to screech about, Prots aren't the heretics that Catholics/Orthodox like to screech about

I'm still learning, but winnie the pooh Jay Dyer and the rest of that bulls- gang. It is all a big circlejerk, which gets its primary convertive power from internet memes made by terminally online people, and from people running away from ugliness in the modern world, not necessarily from people being attracted to its own beauty. I'm happy that I experienced it, because I am much more knowledgeable about things now, but also winnie the pooh these people for poisoning the well with their bulls- about heretics this schismatics that.

Stop spreading slander, he literally never said the first line.As for ADS potentially being a damnable heresy the OC has always held that view. He has said many times that Augustine is still a saint despite holding to ADS and lacking E/E in his theology.
