Yeah well some of us were porn addicts who wasted countless hours on pornography and the scars of that remain on our flesh. I for one got into a lot of mature porn. Also, notice I said females? That's because the unfortunate reality of my past life of sin means I can be tempted by children even. In my case it wasn't porn that made older women attractive to me but my friends who are into older women. Spending too much time with them made me more of a degenerate. I remember last year that I didn't even give a woman a second look when she was older, and she could be as revealing and hot as she liked, it never did anything to me. OP has a point, in my summer job I've seen a lot of older women (late 30s until 65 or something) dressing like the teenage sluts walking down the streets. This wasn't common a couple years ago.

But speaking personally I am hoping God will give me a wife and not because of any sexual things. I mostly just want to have a relationship with a woman and have the fellowship and company. And I kind of feel like, as a "virgin" (having never had sex but not really being pure in that area either) I feel like having a sexual and romantic relationship of the Godly kind which God gives his approbation to would just make my perverted concept of sexuality clean, because there would be a new understanding of how sex actually should be. There is nothing wrong with sexuality, but there is something wrong if you're obsessed about sex. Sexuality is everything that deals with the oppostie sex, not sex only. Never feel guilty for being and feelings sexual, but rather if you become a hedonistic degenerate.

It is not not unchristian. You should be fruitful and multiply, and you won't be ablie to spread your seed if your wife is twice as old as you and infertile. We are attracted to girls that are younger than us for a reason, anon. If you become older you will love your wife not for the looks, but for all you experienced with her.

It is good that you want to stay virgin and build a connection before you want to have sex with a girl. Believe me, and this is something not everybody will tell you: it is not about how many girls you fornicated with or how fast you got them into bed, but rather if you have a profound understanding of each other. If you understand each other and are in harmony, the sex will be better than with any girl you will bed within a couple of dates, and if the sex is genuinely good - not because of techniques, but because of complementing emotions and personalities -, then your offspring will be much better (off) also. If you have a healthy sexual connection with your wife, then your children will be healthy also. If you should ever fornicate, do it with the rigth girl. Not for her, but more for you. I'm not a catholic, but this sounds like some autism of your own. Don't alcoholics and drug addicts in recovery etc. go to the cruch every week to talk about the same thing? That seems like one of the purposes of confession, talking about your problems so you get some support for dealing with them and don't succuumb. You're not expected to just magically solve every problem or temptation in your life by mentioning it once to a priest.

What's a reasonable upper bound on age differential in a marriage. Let's say the wife is 10 years the man's junior. Okay so he is 55 and she is 45. Is he going to have sexual urges still, at 55? I can't see how that's a grave matter. Saint Aquinas says it's a sin against one's self. Maybe so, but then so are the venial sins of stealing small amount of money or anger short of violence.
