Jesus Christ said,
"I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, then you will be children of your Father who is in heaven. Father in heaven makes the sun come up on the bad and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."(Matthew 5)
Jesus Christ not only taught it Himself, but He did it Himself and left an example for us to follow. This is the love of Christ that is far beyond human understanding.
Christ spent thirty-three and a half years on this earth, and He never hated a single person. He never cursed anyone, no matter how badly they treated Him. Christ continued to persevere to the end. The hatred and rebellion of the people culminated in the crucifixion of Christ on the cross. But what did Christ do then? He said,
"Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Father, forgive them. They do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34),
He looked to heaven and made a silent prayer of intercession to God the Father. Christ is the one who loved mankind to the end, in a way that is incomprehensible to man.
Christ could hate the sin in the human heart, but He did not hate the man. He loved them with all His heart. He prayed and even gave His life for those who were trying to kill Him. This forgiveness is what society and each one of us needs most today. But before you can forgive others, your own sins need to be forgiven by God. This is because all people, without exception, have sinned before a holy and good God and are headed to eternal destruction (hell). Of course, sin in the Bible includes not only legal crimes, but also hatred, envy, pride, slander, etc. in our hearts.
Those who have believed in Christ and have had all their sins forgiven, will know the true love of God and will know that they must forgive others as well. And in this way, God will also give us the power to practice it. The first martyr of the early church was a man named Stephen, who was surrounded by a large crowd of people and stoned to death. And that time is recorded in the Bible. He had not the least bit of hatred for those who stoned him, but he loved them and said, "Lord. Do not let them bear this sin." And after praying, he breathed his last breath.
'Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you in Christ.' (Ephesians 4:32)
Many who have experienced the forgiveness of the cross of Jesus Christ, the One of true love, have been touched by the loving and forgiving heart of Christ and have been transformed into people who are willing to give their lives to bear witness to the gospel of Christ. Hatred brings destruction. But true love and forgiveness of others is always constructive.
