It's the Assumption, right? Is it a holy day of obligation or is it covered by it being Sunday the next day?

It's a Holy day of obligation in the US but in Canada they made the Epiphany an HDO instead.

Not sure what the Novus Ordo do.

That said, the local Archbishop has given the entire diocese dispensation from attending mass.

My parish has mass, but there is not enough room for everyone. I go by myself and I'm not going to bump a whole family.

I tried to find a weekday that wasn't crowded, but they all are near the limit for people in the Church.

If we just had a roulette wheel, we could call the church a casino and let a lot more people in.

It's in the Bible

>And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars

That's not Mary but even if it were that's not an assumption

If you read Revelations 12:1-6, it literally is describing the Virgin Mary giving birth to Jesus and the last verse literally talks about her having a place prepared by God Himself for 1260 days, in reference to the Assumption of Mary into Heaven.

That is a different argument

No it's not cause that's why I posted that verse he is just expanding on it. I also want to add in the very verse before revelation 12:1 in revelation 11:19 when God's temple in Heaven opens up it revels the ark of the covenant and Mary is the ark of the new covenant. We Christians know the old ark wasn't taken into heaven it was lost and that God no longer overshadows it anyway but God overshadows Mary (Luke 1:35) and God in the second person of the trinity Christ literally was inside Mary. Like the old ark contained the tablets God's word Mary contained Jesus the word made flesh the old ark contained the mana from heaven and Mary contained the living bread from heaven Jesus the old ark contained the rod of the high priest and Mary contained the new high priest which is Jesus. There's also other parallels between Mary and the Ark.

2 samuel 6:16 David leaps for joy before the ark

Luke 1:41

The baby in Elizabeth's womb leaps before Mary

2 Samuel 6:9

David asks "How shall the ark of the Lord come to me?"

Luke 1:43

Elizabeth asks "How is the mother of my Lord comes to me?" to Mary

and there's more

Mary is obviously in Heaven body and soul

The claim was that the assumption of Mary is in the bible

If it were you could cite it. That is not what you have done, which is at best an argument that the assumption of Mary is consistent with your interpretation of the woman of revelation 12.
