You got really defensive over this.
>churches who sold their honor to the US government for a tax break
Are you really going to say that ALL churches are sell-outs because (in the USA) they are not taxed?
>they
Who is the “they” you keep referencing?
>would you tell the house churches in China that they're lukewarm
If you took a breath and read my post before typing, you’d have noticed that I said the words “very likely.” Of course there are probably home congregations that are just fine, but, just like most brick and mortar churches, most of the home churches are prone to one of the two possibilities I put forth.
Secondly, I am assuming OP is talking about home church in a society where religion is freely practiced. Even Scripture outlines contingencies when a congregation cannot for under normal circumstances.
In short, #notallhomechurches, but some home churches.
>It'll creep into the churches eventually too
So, your solution is to abandon churches instead of being the voice of reason to keep churches from degenerating? Every time you run away, you are giving the enemy more ground.
