It gets tiring to hear people who think the Apostles reading works on grammar and logic by Plato and Stoics means they are "influenced".
The constant criticism of works St. Paul makes is his concern of what was a very real possibility of Christianity degenerating into a philosophy instead of a religion. Philosophy as pratice is "works".
