>Are you a mod? Can you see his post history?
Anyone can see that this is a self-centered continuation of the other Apu Apustaja thread, in which the despairing OP of that thread received encouragement and expressed feeling better. And furthermore, he outright copped to it, here. >>843687
>Are you a mind reader too? When did he tell you that?
Nothing. I said this mostly didactically, especially for the exhortation of frogposter, so some good might come of this thread. If he knows he is saved because he feels better, then he has the wrong idea of faith. The devil can manipulate emotions.
>Are you not able to say these words?
Of course I can, but I'm more concerned about the lost being able to say them, than myself. Me saying them of myself, without any further context (like my testimony) does nothing for the lost or doubting.
>Next time you feel this way keep it to yourself and hide the thread\
No, I think its important to exhort a brother who acts in such a self-centered way, as to make a continuous stream of threads reporting what he is feeling. I didn't really have a problem with the first thread since he felt he needed help, but now he is just taking up space to hear himself speak and receive attention.
>It is not a fruit of the spirit to express joy in salvation
Since I have followed this whole debacle from the beginning, I can only find this expression spurious. When is the next time he's going to doubt his faith when the devil comes, tomorrow? The next day perhaps? Why don't we have a new frog thread every time OP doubts or feels assured in his salvation.
>You are only confirming suspicions about your spiritual state, and I don't mean to sound condescending. Why is this your reaction?
Like I said, don't worry about your own charismatic ideas about my standing with God. Also if you don't mean to sound condescending, then don't sound condescending. My reaction is that I see a brother acting in an attention-seeking way, who seems to also have way too much confidence in feelings and I'm hoping to correct him on these things.
