Cards on the table. I am not religious to any extent, but I am fascinated by allegedly Bible-accurate angels and I've been wanting to read Revelations. Do I need to read any of the other books or can I jump straight to Revelations?

Also post Angels.

Wow. Uh… revelations is confusing even for people that have been reading the Bible for a while. There’s no harm in jumping straight to revelations. But revelations is all a dream one of the apostles had and the elements in it and there meanings. There’s a lot you won’t understand and no one understands all of it. Some people have a very good relationship understanding but still struggle with understanding it all. It’s one of the most surreal books of the Bible if not the most surreal book. You’ll have a bit of fun reading it, don’t get me wrong. You’ll learn some things. But just know that the rest of the Bible is much easier to understand, don’t judge the whole Bible by what you read in revelations. Your gonna have a lot of questions though.

I don’t know where the word “relationship” popped out from. I’m having issues with typing today.

I’ve never been a fan of spontaneous “relationships”. Lol.

Ezekiel, Daniel, Jeremiah and maybe John Ronning's book on the Targums.

I'm have the minority opinion that the book of Revelation is talking about the past, present and future of God's people because personally it makes more sense that way.

Read whatever you want, but for a full understand you'd need to read the entire Bible. Remember that angels bred with mankind before the flood producing half-angels, cryptids, and monsters. The complete picture can only be gained by carefully piecing everything together. Their descendants are still on Earth.

Yeah, you should read the book of Enoch. It gives way more info about fallen angels than the bible does.

Reading the whole bible won't help you much with the symbolism and meaning in Revelations. For instance, there's no explanation of the number 666 or how to find the meaning of that number in the bible. In order to understand Revelations, you have to have some understanding of symbolism, astronomy, and numerology and you have to have the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

No they are not. The flood killed them all.

So do satanic books and demonology books. Just because your being given information on fallen angels in the book of Enoch doesn’t make it an inspired book. One has to discredit nearly all of the Bible to believe the book of Enoch.

The book is written by Enoch supposedly and he didn’t leave it behind for humans. There are passages that prove he was in heaven when he finished it apparently. That would make it the only book that was handed to humans from heaven. No other book in the Bible claims this in the way it’s written.

It’s a book that must’ve been written at a time where people were so uneducated in the Bible that they believed it was handed to humanity by God himself and not just written by people inspired by God.

There isn’t a single book in all of the Bible that has been written by celestial citizens. Every single book is written by an imperfect human. The book of Enoch claims otherwise by its statements. There are a lot of lies in it, it is not inspired by God. Enoch is talking in the first-person from heaven after his snatching away by God. He finished the book in Heaven according to it. That’s one of the biggest giveaways that it’s a false book.

How do you explain them being throughout the Bible in that case?

When was that? When the 12 spies of moses’ time were exaggerating about the people of the land they were spying on?
