What do you guys think of this movie. Personally, it’s one of my favorites. Makes me tear up every time. Not ashamed to admit it for this movie. Ben Kingsley plays in it, he knocked his role as Potiphar out of the park.

I have a question for the Christians on this board. Since it has to do with Joseph and this thread is dead might as well do it here. I’ve been reading the story of Joseph recently to see how accurate this movie is. I noticed something that I didn’t before and I want to know your opinions.
I use to think Jacob was told about his sons selling Joseph into slavery, and that It simply was not put in the Bible for whatever reason. I now feel like Joseph and his brothers never told their father about it, it’s looking like they kept it a secret from Jacob till his death. Maybe some of you already knew this. But it’s news to me. From the way the brothers talk to Jacob and from how Joseph tells them what to say to their father upon their return, and from how Joseph talked in private with his one brother right before he revealed himself to them (keeping things private from Benjamin by doing so). I now strongly feel they never told their father Jacob, or Benjamin. They simply told him half the truth, that Joseph was now leader of Egypt. Thoughts?
