1 John 4:18

>There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

Romans 13:8-10

>Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law

Hebrews 12:14

>Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord

Psalm 133

>Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

-Jesus said to His disciples,-

>It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NASB — There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven— A time to give birth and a time to die;

A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal;

A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to laugh;

A time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;

A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing. A time to search and a time to give up as lost;

A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;

A time to be silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate;

A time for war and a time for peace.

I don't know how most people are okay with a man pretending to be Christ.

I do love these verses. Thanks.

Ecclesiastes is pure gold, its like the Tao, very similar. Good lessons therein.

Well, he was apparently struck by lightening during the filming, so I doubt even Christ was okay with it..

yet.. this image of him beaten up and still standing .. even if it isn't Christ, it reminds me on Christ, and that is good with me.

There isn't anything wrong with it. It isn't blasphemous as far as I remember. He portrayed Jesus Christ for the movie and left it at that. He isn't going around pretending to be Christ. Unless you implying this borders on some sort of iconoclastic issue?

Romans 12:9, NIV: "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good." … Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good."

There's a bunch of other verses that talk about hating evil and that the Lord Jesus hates evil deeds. Remember, it is very wicked to love evil. That is why a very famous satanist says: "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law" ~Aleister Crowley

The reality is that their "love" embraces evil. Our love as Christians is pure and comes from Jesus. The love crowley is talking about is not love, but a mockery the of it. When crowley says "love" he is talking about tolerance. It is an old trick the devil uses to lower your guard.

Jesus is King!

And there you go, acting like a pharisee, getting all pissy because someone is encouraging being reasonable over following scripture. I am literally Jesus to you, and if you don't amend your ways, the closest thing to Jesus you will ever see in this life and the next.

I know why you said this and I know what you mean by it. I get why you said it but many here are going to tear you apart for it. We might not agree on everything, but I don’t hold what you just said against you. Only because my life experience has shown me what you really mean by it. If it helps, what you just said made me thank God once again for my trials. God bless you for that much alone.

The very start of the movie is inaccurate. Judas kisses Jesus in the cheek in front of the officials ready to arrest Him. This is not how things unraveled. The whole point of the kiss was to point out the messiah and not let any of the other apostles know that Judas was the traitor. But coming forward with the mob makes the kiss pointless, at that point Judas didn’t have to greet Jesus with a kiss, he could’ve just pointed At Jesus because the mob behind Judas automatically showed the apostles that he is the traitor. In reality the mob was hidden and watching Judas, only Jesus knew Judas was the traitor at that point.

The movie shows all the apostles immediately knowing because of the officials Judas walked with. This inaccuracy was too much for me to ignore from the start. I think it’s clear that Mel Gibson got mad at the Jews and made this movie to piss them off. It might be that the only good that came out of it was Jim Cavizel’s turning to Christ, which seems very authentic to me.

I get comfort from how you speak, although your flag is off putting to me I am learning to not judge people by their flag thanx to you, and another, but you seem to be very close to realizing that you are having conversations with the Holy Spirit without knowing it fully. It’s very exciting.

I’ll be honest, a part of me believes you will relinquish that flag once you realize your next accomplishment. But I’m open to being wrong about that because The Holy Spirit has given us all separate tasks that coincide at certain points. Who am I to say your not already where the spirit wants you to be? But I’m starting to see people get stronger on this board, and I’m somewhat in a state of disbelief over it, in a very happy way. Thank you, brother. Your making my day.

Do you feel the conversion of the actor that plays Jesus is genuine? Honestly it looks genuine to me but I can never be sure with actors. And I have heard that lightning story. Some video of it would’ve been helpful, or a pic at least. I feel like if it was true, Jesus would’ve want people to see evidence of it. Maybe I’m presuming too much. IDK.

The only thing that keeps me coming back to believing the actors conversion is the fact that he brought up a line from another movie of his, “count of monte Cristo”. The line is “do not commit the crime for which you now serve the sentence”, which is why God allows some people a chastising.

For example, king David did onto Uriah (bathsheeba’s first husband) most of the things that king Saul did to David. God saw into David’s future and allowed him to learn a lesson that gave him all the wisdom he needed to not do it onto another. And David failed that lesson.

I find it very interesting that Jim cavizel brought that line up, it’s kind of a difficult thing to lie that perfectly. But still, IDK. I hate to feel like a silly fool for believing it, but I hate to judge the man just because he’s in the business of lying in front of a camera. I have many mixed feelings about it. But the movie was terrible for sure. I don’t believe Mel Gibson put much thought into it.

Hmm, good ponderings for sure. I really have not spent too much time thinking about jim cavziel (or whatever his name is). I did like count of monte cristo, very good movie, good messages and thinking to learn. There are always good things to learn in everything, even in principalities productions. I just do not spend too much time on looking into what the individuals involved are 'trying' to say, and merely look at what is said.

Matthew 5:17-20 King James Version (KJV)

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
