I myself struggle with Autism and Tourette syndrome. I need medication just to sleep, as my mind is always racing at night and sleep is difficult. I am trying to get of the meds for Tourretes, even though the symptoms will worsen, because If I am on it too long…I will have no liver by the time I am 30. I have a Chemical imbalance in my brain. Without my meds…I feel empty

I found /Christian/ after nearly losing my marbles by /pol/. I will say this: if you are oblivious, they can REALLY GET IN YOUR HEAD IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL. The thing you must understand that people with autism are trusting to a fault. They can easily be misled. I am glad I am not the female of the group, though they in general are better at masking, because…they don't always choose wisely when it comes to life partners..if you catch my drift. The average lifespan for an aspie…is 39 years, since we very often kill ourselves. Loneliness is a killer.

And I'm sorry all of you have this burden to deal with. I know what it's like to feel ostracised, and lonely.

Jesus Christ. I don’t mean to be a jerk guys, but if I didn’t learn about marijuana I’de be on medication too. So many people were pushing pharmaceuticals on me 10 years ago and if I listened I’de be a slave to big pharma today. I know it annoys many of you when you here someone preaching marijuana so I’ll make this the only time I say this in this thread. But it took care of the racing mind at night, the anger, the depression, digestive issues as well.

So much of our ailments are due to stress and it relieves the stress and your body goes toward a much better direction. It wasn’t a cure to my problems, God’s word through The Holy Spirit cured me. But marijuana kept me alive long enough to be cured by God, and I knew long ago that it’s better to be a slave to God’s vegetation than man’s poisons.

Now I don’t do it. Not because I don’t want to, but because I’m broke and waiting for work to pick up. I can sell things I have to buy it but I don’t even feel close to doing that because the pain is gone, and I’de rather hold on to my electronics. Truly I wish you all the best, you don’t need to believe me, but I hope God clears things up for you. I know it’s a matter of faith for many, so I can’t force you guys to believe anything. I hate smoking. Also, Weed has some of the same chemicals that damage the heart as cigarettes. I also hate pornography and am DISGUSTED by it. Thanks to the faith I am very rarely tempted by lust. I am… happier than I have EVER BEEN. I have an inexplicable…calm that NEVER goes away. The Church also is the first thing that made me see how far I had fallen…my sins were laid bare..and i felt….sorrow. Say what you want of the faith…but I am MUCH better than i have ever been.

You shouldn't accept it regardless of your religious views. Those drugs do nothing positive for you and they aren't intended to. Psyche meds are mainly for population control. Sterilitym, infertility, lack of sexual desire, impotance are side effects of all of them. What's worse is that another side effect is suicide and another is mass shootings. Almost all mass shooters have all been on psyche meds (mostly ssri's like paxil or prozac but ritelin too).

You are you. If you're autistic that just who you are. Don't drug yourself because evil people told you that you are bad. Everyone has challenges in life mentally. There is no reason why being autistic should be a negative.

that's withdrawal from the meds. When people get on psyche meds the problems they had before get worse. Psyche meds can make them unbearable, and detoxing from psyche meds is no joke either and no one knows how long it takes to recover since shrinks don't want you to recover from them.

No I was without it for a LONG while. Did not work. I take Welbutrin, which helps a lot. I need meds to try to sleep. BUT EVEN WITH MEDS, sleep can be VERY difficult….if not impossible. I do have chemical imbalance in my head. I also need to find new meds for my tourretes, since the current ones can cause liver damage. Because believe it or not, tourretes is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to control. It is not something you can practice and overcome

There can NEVER be a cure for autism. Unless there is a miracle. The meds are not there to cure, but to keep us from falling apart. I have approximate 300 TRILLION synapses compared to the normal 100 trillion synapses of a normie. Think of tripling the circuitry in your house and you get an idea

I have become a LOT better with the meds than without. I am not NEARLY as… wicked. I am not as hateful toward men. Or as paranoid. and I have found God, and that is a plus. I tried going without meds in High school did not work out very well. Not at all

There's no problem in accepting medicine as a Christian. But the pharmaceutical industry is not your friend. Just something to keep in mind.

Women with asperger's syndrome are better at hiding it because they typically select bad partners? Can you explain how selecting a bad partner makes people less likely to suspect you of having asperger syndrome?

Looking at what you wrote, you seem to be implying that when the average person is presented with pictures of two couples, one of them is a woman with a good husband and the other is the same woman with a bad husband, the average person would assume that the woman was normal if she's with the bad husband and that the woman was an aspie if she was with the good one. Is that truly what you're implying? If so, can you explain it?

Anyway, addressing your question, it's just as the previous poster said: there's nothing wrong with taking medication as a Christian, the problem is when you're taking these drugs made to deal with psychological issues. In my case, the anti-psychotic medication worked and so I think you should give those drugs a go just to see if they work for you but only after ruling out natural solutions. Plus, there's definitely reason to be cautious. I absolutely agree that people are being diagnosed with problems they don't have so they can be told to buy medicine they don't need in order to financially prop up a company that's not necessary.

For a natural solution, I would recommend actively trying to be more disciplined, treating discipline like a muscle and trying to grow it.

For a supernatural solution, as I am diagnosing your concentration issue as being due to Slothfulness, I would recommend the Act of Hope, thrice a day at morning, noon and evening.

Act of Hope:

You see , we can be VERY…TRUSTING…. to a fault, and easily manipulated. Take me, I was taken into Fascism and became a browser of cuckchans /pol/, and almost went mad with it. The only things…is that if we DO find out we are being manipulated…we break off contact quickly and trust can be VERY difficult to restore. /pol/ really screwed with my head, and after I found the Truth (Christ) I realized what had happened and… am no longer interested in politics. Many of us…"persuaded"…into Transgender/ LGBTQ crap. It is a mess. As to the women aspies…they often get into bad relationships because they may not realize they are being manipulated. They can act just like a normal person… but that does stop them from having their trust betrayed. Many aspies are EVEN…tricked into CULTS…unfortunately that happens a lot….
