What do you think of the phenomenon of Christians committing suicide? Pic related is Jarrid Wilson who was a pastor who preached against suicide, advocated for mental health, had a wife and kids and still ended up killing himself. You can find other stories of things like this happening, such as Rick Warren's son suiciding. Have you yourself ever known a fellow Christian who did this?

I knew a guy very dedicated to parish life, he even painted the dome of the church with the hired workers for free. One day with little warning, he kills himself. Some people non-chalantly asked his priest and confessor if he ever talked about it, which of course he refused to discuss and admonished them for asking.

Many people who feel they are very broken inside are drawn to the church, like myself. Disheartening, but it makes sense why some people dedicated to Christ would do it.

You're mischaracterizing the actual problem. If you look at the statistics, at least in the US, you'll see that this isn't exclusively a Christian problem. This is a straight, white, male problem, which of course means it heavily overlaps with Christianity because Christianity as a whole is majority white. Hence why far-left types consider Christianity to literally be "white supremacy."

The reason behind the rising trend is that American society has become hostile to the aforementioned group thanks to the march of progressivism. The stress gets to be too much and people end up cracking. Men can no longer afford to provide the type of life for their family that they were brought up to expect, and so they feel like worthless failures.

They see no opportunities and no hope as the cost of everything rises and they're displaced by foreign workers, all while being told that they and their heritage are an abomination. They have lost their identity and sense of community. Society is in decline.

Until churches are willing to acknowledge this and call it what it is instead of using empty euphemisms that provide no healing, for the sake of political correctness, the problem will continue.
