I've recently regained faith and I want to read through the entire Bible. I've already read the New Testament and about 3 or 4 books of the OT. And the Gospels I read several times

I want to do this right however.

Given the situation, would it be right to read one Gospel (I was thinking John), then the rest of the NT at the same time with the OT (probably skipping Genesis, Exodus and Deut.)?

I want to get all the information before doing a more thorough re-read cover to cover.

Thoughts? Any tips?

Read a few psalms everyday, this is just fun overall.

I would recommend going Genesis, big jump to Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Job, Tobit, Isaiah, and then a cover-to-cover.

That sounds like a pretty good plan.

I wanna get most of the essential info before doing a very thorough reading.

Brother if you're still here I have a question for you if you know the answer.

The Bible I bought is not the one in the picture. Mine arrived today (I only had some Protestant ones I got from Protestant friends)

It's "Tiparit cu binecuvantarea IPS Vladimir, Mitropolitul Chisinaului si al intregii Moldove".

Doing a quick first-glance comparison between bibliaortodoxa.ro and the Moldavian Bible I have there seems to be no difference whatsoever in the translation (which I guess it's a pretty silly concern since they're both Orthodox and in Romanian language).

Do you know if there's any difference at all?

IIRC byzantine rite churches all base their manuscripts on the greek version as found in the Majority Text type bibles so there shouldn't be any differences text wise, unless a word was mistranslated of course.

Knowing the capabilities of Vladimir, i'd wager he just copy pasted it from the Romanian one. I once saw a bible edited by another bishop (Cahul i think) but i can't tell you if it was the same as the romanian one, or thr same as Vladimir's, lol.
