When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.

I watched the cartoon when I was in like 9th or 10th grade. Only acted a bit autistic for a while.

I'mma be honest, it's a very very good cartoon. It's such a bummer that people would do things like this.

The problem if these definitions are becoming nebulous, in primitive societies there was a clear initiation into adulthood, now aslong as u have a job you can do whatever as long as u don't hurt anybody.

That’s the same thing sodomites say. You know that isn’t true. Manchildism very much ruined society.

I don't think Manchildism is what ruined society since I believe Manchildism to ultimately be a fruit of Feminism.

When women were given the ability to enter the workforce and earn their own income and then given the ability to divorce their husbands on a whim (No-Fault Divorce), society shifted such that sons were now being raised by their mothers rather than their fathers. Combine this with the deliberate absence of respectable, male role models (e.g. sitcoms featuring fathers who are bumbling idiots, lucky to have a wife) and I believe you cannot truly blame the Manchild for being the way he is. He is an engineered product of the corrupt rulers of our society. You can show him the error of his ways and hope he sees the light but I do not think one should be shocked that he returns to his former ways. This is ultimately because he sees living like "an adult" as an unnecessary, traditional convention that he has no need to comply with.

Despite saying this, I wish to also say that I don't advocate for hating women since I believe that they too were ultimately going with the flow, presented with options they saw no reason to reject. In fact, I believe Feminism was ultimately a CIA-operation. Gloria Steinem, one of the leading Feminists confessed to have been working with the CIA. I believe she stated she knew they were using her, it's just that she agreed with the cause.

Given all this, I do not think society's downfall is truly his fault. Knowing no better, he merely went with the flow. If you had the mind to question the flow then that is simply by the grace of God, not anything on your own.

Truly, take a moment to contemplate it. Think about how normal it is that men are manly in the world and then consider the "men" of modern western society. Think of the multi-generational effort required to break men down in order to get them into their current state. This is not natural and not a coincidence. No man would naturally be a Manchild.

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”

>Manchildism

It is a byproduct of Imagination, ultimately the biggest enemy of Christianity has always been Imagination.

Imagination is the enemy of Christianity? Have you really thought this through?

The imagination is merely a faculty that God has bestowed upon us, just as he gives us eyes to see and a free will to freely choose him. I'd say Christians, with their artwork and insights into interpreting the Bible, have done enough to prove that the Imagination is good. After all, why would God give us something inherent to our design that was bad for us? (This is not to be compared with those who are born with genetic deformities as such issues were not present before the Fall)

No, I don't think Imagination is the problem. I think the issue is ignorance. People don't know what thoughts are good and what thoughts aren't and so they allow themselves to dwell on bad or just wrong thoughts. Either that or they don't believe in good reasons to control their Imagination. Quite simply, they don't control their Imagination. The controlled Imagination of a Christian can most certainly yield good fruit. There's no need to throw out the baby with the bathwater so to speak and disregard the faculty entirely.

I'm not even Christian, and this stuff scares me.

But this manchild stuff has always hit too close to home for me. Growing up with my friends, we used to play Stars Wars Battlefront II and Dynasty warriors together. We hung out and went to movies in our late teens and early twenties, played card games over pizza…And now they're in their late 20s, approaching their 30s, and they're living the same life. They go to their high paying careers each day, come home and play video games and watch youtubers talk about toys and movies. I couldn't do it anymore, I couldn't pretend to care about minecraft or any of the rest. I eventually stopped seeing them and now have no friends. I couldn't bring myself to either lecture them on their lifestyle or live it myself. I tried a few times dragging them out into other activities, but like, they just don't want to leave the house for anything apart from food or a cinema.

>Just live and let live, they're happy

On a visceral level, it disgusts me. I'm sorry, it just does. It's like seeing a 12 year old boy still obsessively watching Teletubbies and sucking his thumb, when he's fully capable of maturing. It's a sign something has stunted during development.

You will be soon. Manchildrenism now a norm in the west. It goes hand to hand with tranny s—. Why do you think transgenderism exploded when anime became mainstream?

so the same thing, just dressed up differently? watching mainstream sports is just as childish as anything imo. Card Games aren’t really that childish, in comparison.
