tl;dw

>Broadly low church aesthetic

>Share spaces with other churches because worship on Saturdays

>Unfairly associated with other radical great awakening American movements

There's a concerning line in the video where a church official nonchalantly shrugs off the issue of an infidel taking the Lord's supper

The comments on his Acts 8:37 video and his responses to them prove he is for corruption of the King James Bible. Same thing with his septuagint video. He's in no position to teach, he should get back to school rather than do this.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. - 2 Corinthians 2:17

I say it again, he could learn a few things from someone who has actually studied where the Bible really came from. It came from God by His providence, not from manuscripts that all corrupted the same place so that his word was lost until Tischendorf. And yes, there are many single issues such as the gospel, who God is, what his Word is, on which I would tell someone to get back to school and stop pretending you're a teacher.

SDA are complete heretics. They have almost all the same heresies as JFWs besides they do believe the Trinity.

It's one thing if he is trying to reach these people with the truth, another to say look how much we have in common and misleading people.

But again, that's the worldly approach that says God didn't preserve his word perfectly.

Posting Anderson isn't helping. Practically everyone is an unbeliever in his or other IFB eyes. They even rebuke each other.

I don't care for Adventists either, but Anderson fans are bigger faggots or women who have daddy issues. You lacked decent male role models, and get easily suckered in by confident outsiders. It happens to kids on the street in gangs, just as much as it happens with preachers or politics or even Jordan Peterson fans. Stop being a faggot. That's the only solution. God can't give you a new daddy, but you can at least do this.

Well duh, that'swhat Jesus said

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

>or women who have daddy issues

The women with daddy issues aren't going to be going to a leather lung church, they would usually be all tattooed up and ttry to say that's fine

also that their entire religion was based off of a false prediction on when Jesus would come back in 1844

>The Great Disappointment in the Millerite movement was the reaction that followed Baptist preacher William Miller's proclamations that Jesus Christ would return to the Earth by 1844, what he called the Advent. His study of the Daniel 8 prophecy during the Second Great Awakening led him to the conclusion that Daniel's "cleansing of the sanctuary" was cleansing of the world from sin when Christ would come, and he and many others prepared, but October 22, 1844, came and they were disappointed.[1][2][3][4]

>These events paved the way for the Adventists who formed the Seventh-day Adventist Church. They contended that what had happened on October 22 was not Jesus' return, as Miller had thought, but the start of Jesus' final work of atonement, the cleansing in the heavenly sanctuary, leading up to the Second Coming.[1][2][3][4]

Then why are they still affirming Ellen G. White? Why are they not denouncing that wicked, evil false prophet? If they do then we can have a conversation. The things she taught were wrong. If they will just denounce those people and their writings then we can talk and have a discussion. There is no middle ground without that concession being made first, we have to agree that the whole millerite thing was wrong first. Just denounce it. It's very easy to do. It's a very easy thing to ask. I don't see your guy Matt doing that. He must agree with Ellen G. White then or else he's being intellectually dishonest? I'd say the latter.

The formal SDA church explicitly rejects some sayings of ellen white just like most Lutheran bodies reject some things Luther said, and they view her in a similar way not as a prophet but a reformer or leader. There are splinter groups which have trinitarian issues and view white as prophetess.

I agree it's still a problem, I don't like white either. I'm not SDA.

You said

>Just denounce it. It's very easy to do. I don't see your guy Matt doing that. He must agree with Ellen G. White

Which is very stupid and needlessly combatative. He's not SDA. Did you watch even five minutes of the video?

If you can't watch a video and discuss it without immediately diving into your pet issues then it's time to take a break and widen your perspective.

>Which is very stupid and needlessly combatative. He's not SDA. Did you watch even five minutes of the video?

Here's the thing. I have seen you on here before, how do you think I knew to check his channel in advance. I have seen this guy's videos before. It's not really me that needs to take a break, I'm not the one creating new threads here.

Secondly, I already knew what he was gonna do, that's why I checked it already knowing he was going to be spending the vast majority of the time giving the impression that we have all these things in common. He spends the majority of the video giving this grand impression of unity and shoves what he knows people are going to bring up to a minor bullet point at the end, saying he'll be making a theologically related video to go along with which he probably never will. But this is impossible to hide completely, sure enough. Just as you might expect we see clear expressions of that false impression he wants to create slipping in such as at 9:35

>"I think it's an interesting indicator of where we're at [gesturing to himself and them] in terms of what we do theologically, I mean you sing our songs and we sing your songs." Also at 21:12

I know this guy's game. I've already seen his videos, like I said. Now that I've seen you post it here I'm allowed to call it out. I also wonder if you took the time to look into the videos I recommended.

I don't have superstitions about talking to people about their beliefs or even going to them in their backyard, as you know many religions keep shrines around, I don't let that bother me. That's not the point here, the point is this guy is spending the vast majority of his video trying to create the impression that there is no difference as much as possible. He's spending time concentrating on the things human beings care about, and no time on the fact that worship is not for us and we should be doing things His way, he's basically ignoring all the important things and turning them into minor bullet points at the end of the video, when most people aren't even watching. He knows this.

Now regarding the claim that I called you SDA: that's false. I said either he must be that or else he's being intellectually dishonest by acting like he has almost everything in common with this new wave restorationist movement, doing everything he can to shunt what he knows are the clear differences aside, and in doing so deliberately misleading the less informed of his audience. This is not objective as you might collect information to write an article about the subject, he deliberately avoided the key subjects in his actual interview. That's why he never asked them about Ellen White for instance. The interview portion takes up something like the first 22 out of 24 minutes. It's not objective but rather designed to mislead and create an impression of ecumenical unity based on outward appearances and downplaying theology, which is the things that God actually cares about and why we do worship in the first place.

>>Which is very stupid

Asking people about the truth is the most important thing because then we get to life and death questions such as whether someone is going to be justified in God's sight at the great judgement day. It's not stupid to ask whether someone is believing a false prophet, it is a matter of life and death in eternality. It's only "stupid" if you're still in fear of and controlled by the overcoming urge of not upsetting people. Even though the subject might be the thing they need to hear the most.

I agree with most of your criticism. It seems to me that you're being dismissive of a good faith dialogue because you think it's over the line in ecumenism. That's a good worry but it's not what's happening here.

There is kind of a happy smiles inoffensive mood but that's just because of the medium of youtube videos if you ask me. He's kind of a soyboy, but he does know his stuff and he's providing a good service.

If you're just erring on the side of caution regarding ecumenism that's fair. If he's going to get deeper into the differences it will be in the part 2 interview video.
