What are your thoughts on American Christianity, more specifically the culture? Personally I find almost everything about it to be disgusting. The strip mall mega churches, the electric guitar rock and roll songs, the lack of theology (but ironically they maintain an obsession with eschatology especially if it has to do with Israel, their favorite country) , the overall corniness of it all is something I find to be in very bad taste. Those corny wooden wall decorations that have a bible verse on the that soccer moms put up on their wall under the thing that says "live laugh love'.

And these are the conservative churchs foro winnie the poohs sake. The liberal churches are a haven for homosexuals and pedophiles and are basically glorified NGOs. They preach downright heresy, damnable ideas that spit in the face of the faith.

The worst part is is how they try to synthesize the faith with their libertarian-capitalist ethic, which has ironically led to the downfall of the faith as the liberals, atheists and jews are able to use the courts to push through laws that change the culture in their own favor. Meanwhile the retarded israel loving gun toting libertarian illiterate loud mouth fat winnie the pooh conservative do absolutely nothing but complain about "muh constitution".

Unfortunately its most. Most of the churches with more traditional liturgy are invariably liberal in outlook, when the fundamentalists left the mainline churches to found their own churches they decided to leave behind all of the ritual and sacraments. You can't find a conservative church that isn't located in a strip mall or isn't a mega church using a repurposed convention center.

The saddest part is traditional protestant denominations are declining and the churches taking up the mantle of the conservative Christianity are non-denominational churches and Pentecostals, which is to say retards without theology.

One needs to develop a healthy detachment to the organization they are in, is what I think. Be in it but not of it.

I do hate the liberal fun center type of churches that you described. But they are still plenty of traditional(as in conservative/right-wing) IFB churches, and some say homos should die(which would get you put in prison in many countries)

IFB is worse or at least just as bad as the others. I don't know if you're just larping and attached to one meme preacher, but he's actually tame in comparison to many IFB. They hate him too (like the Ruckmanites).

this guy is one of the biggest clowns of all, running his church out of a strip mall unit that's located right next to his smoke alarm business (and yes, of course he never attended seminary)

If Anderson wasn't zealously anti-homosexual he would just be some random clown baptist preacher talking about vaccines doing cringey things like this:

Not LARPing

Rucktards are wrong on a lot of doctrine but how their church is isn't bad like Joel Osteen garbage

>>834402

>out of a strip mall unit

So? A church is a congregation of believers, not a building. You can have church in a park and it's the same, and Anderson and Jiminez at first had their church in their home because they couldn't afford a building

> of course he never attended seminary

Can you show me seminary in the Bible? I seem to see the church training people to become pastors, not telling them to go to some college to learn

A church is a house of God, not just a group of believers. When you put church in a literal strip mall, a place of American decedent consumerism, you profane the word of God.

>A church is a house of God, not just a group of believers

Psalm 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

Hebrews 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

Used interchangeably

>you profane the word of God.

No you don't. If someone has church is a park that's perfectly fine. Doesn't make it a libtard funcenter church for being next to a park.

>According to his church's website he never went to college

He didn't graduate but he wen for about three years. Then started his fire alarm business.

Personally I love electric guitars and nice secular music (song related), but I find American Christian music to be very tacky compared to chants

As a baptist, I find it mostly abhorrent. My family goes to what can be considered a megachurch. I haven't fully broken with it, but I'd really like to find a different one.

Their Theology isn't too bad, when they actually talk about it. But they waste time talking about the most basic practical stuff. "God will heal your relationships" "God will help you through this" "Do not fear" etc. Just a waste of time. People won't ever be converted if we only talk about our situation and our problems, rather than the truth of God.

The music is bad too. I have a decent singing voice, and I can sing none of the songs. None of the songs have ranges which are reasonable for the average human to sing. Their strategy is 'play loud, so that nobody can hear how bad they are doing', and it backfires completely. They play so loud, anybody would throw out their voice trying to match their apparent volume. I would LOVE it if people went back to old hymns. Those were written to be sung, and to be beautiful, not just to be loud.

What people need to understand is that preachers are just winnie the pooh human beings. You shouldn't look up to them, you shouldn't give them money either unless you're sure it's for a good cause. Just like Catholics and the poope. I will not see the Pope as some sort of message from god or how ever they would describe the pope. The bible and praying and maybe baptizing is all you need to get to heaven
