d5cfdf  No.832317

>Miroslav Filipović (5 June 1915 – 1946), also known as Tomislav Filipović and Tomislav Filipović-Majstorović, was a Bosnian Croat Franciscan friar and Ustashe military chaplain who participated in atrocities during World War II in Yugoslavia.[1] Convicted as a war criminal in a Yugoslav civil court, he was executed by hanging in 1946.

>For the duration of the war, the Vatican kept full diplomatic relations with the Independent State of Croatia and was briefed on the efforts of the Ustaše to convert ethnic Serbs to Catholicism. Some former priests, mostly Franciscans, particularly in, but not limited to, Herzegovina and Bosnia, took part in the atrocities themselves. Filipović-Majstorović joined the Ustaše on 7 February 1942 in a brutal massacre of 2,730 Serbs of the nearby villages, including 500 children. He was reportedly subsequently dismissed from his order. He became the Chief Guard of the Jasenovac concentration camp where he was nicknamed "Fra Sotona" ("Brother Satan") due to his sadism. When he was hanged for war crimes, he wore his clerical garb, although some claim he had been defrocked.[2]

>including 500 children

>"Brother Satan"

Can't make this up.

>Ergo all Catholics are war criminals

Seems legit. Not like it was a broad brush fallacy or falsely claiming that the Catholic religion says that those who take Holy Orders are forever without sin.

every country or people who have ever fought in a war has committed war crimes

i could bring up many serbian orthodox war crimes

your own post shows that he was defrocked, the catholic church clearly didn't approve of his actions

I didn't mean to imply that, I just find it hilarious at how hard some Catholics fail at being Christian. This guy is worse than Crowley and LaVey together and is a former Franciscan friar.

You can't bring up a single Serbian Orthodox clergyman being nicknamed "Brother Satan". I've never even heard of a single Serbian Orthodox clergyman credibly accused of war crimes.

To be fair, that's relatively easy, since both were dumb LARPers who didn't know a single thing what they were talking about.

But you're about the depths of evil wih some clerics. And try as you might, the average Roman Catholic will just defend them or resort to what-about-ism at best. They are incapable of humility or apology. They simply do not care.

Catholics are not perfect. No one but the Lord Jesus was without sin. yet, here you are throwing stones pretending your denomination is without sin.

Pointing out the Attacks on God's One True Church, Established by the Lord Jesus Christ, is required of the faithful by God's Church itself.

It's not really outraged, but concern that your errors will lead souls to hell.

>Western civilization predates the church,

If you're point is the ancient Greek and the Roman Republic and early Roman Empire, yes. But both fell.

The Greeks became pleasure seeking hedonists, and fell.

The Roman leadership became degenerate and hedonistic. Rome was eventually converted to the faith.

The faith in the Catholic Church taught sacrifice to the greater good of the people, honesty, mental and physical discipline, obedience, love of learning not just about religion but God's creation, compassion for others and our basic Christian values. You didn't find those strengths in pagan Rome.

In a Spenglerian sense, Greco-Roman Civilization is distinct from Western/Faustian Civilization. But you don't need to be a Spenglerian to accept this premise, because it's obvious. Western Civilization begins in the Middle Ages, the classical age was it's forebear.

He is correct to some extent for who ever believes in god their nations shall be blessed correct? And over time would improve and evolve this is due to people believing in god and good works coming from the holy spirit right?

But when people started abandoning god they are going towards a downard spiral sure it predates christianity and what not and many amazing feats came out of it before it but if it were not for christianity western civilization wouldn't have advanced to the point that it is right now, I mean why is the middle east always in the state of suffering? I mean sure once iran is a christian majority things may change around for the better

Or in japan where they are mostly athiest killing them selves?

Parts of africa being hell sure some of them christian and may improve over time (depending how long this rock does not expire)

I mean is literally in our bible.

So, have our Protestant and Eastern Orthodox bros decided that all Catholics are war criminals now?

Kinda an inverse Sodom thing: where Sodom would be spared if there were a few good souls, now Catholics are damned if there are a few bad ones?

Not very Christian of our Eastern Orthodox and Protestant bros.

I guess I'd better pray for you.

Not sure I can, tho. I've not been confession since the lock down started. Only thing I can pray for right now is for my own faith, grace against temptation, for forgiveness and to glorify God.
