Re: the video's points about SU. Without knowing anything about the creator and her "intentions" with the show's activities, there's nothing truly LGBT or otherwise remotely perverse until the last two seasons – the first instance of which is awkward in the show, the lattermost season's instances which certainly are pushier of LGBT. Basically, most of the show is more innocent than something like Spongebob, which isn't really explicitly perverse, but gives some poor morals/role models/etc. That show's been around for over 20 years!
In an alternative understanding of some of the things in SU, most of SU is about sexual relationships … but without external contexts, that seems to be "surely" an incorrect understanding of the show.

Yes, but things were like that in (some) Western parts of the world just 60 years ago or so, too. Probably going to get attacked for this here, but I like Steven Universe. Watched the whole thing. I only found a few things wrong with the show, honestly.

Obviously an abomination, but as an adult, I can recognize that within the context of this fantasy world, there is no homosexuality. All of the gems are asexual and do not experience sexual pleasure or reproduce in the conventional way. Since every single gem presents as feminine, it's not even a matter of "gender identity". It's just an alien race that is asexual but which is characterized more by human standards of femininity more than masculinity. Fusion is not a metaphor for sex. It's any intimate relationship. Stephen fuses with his friends, his love interest, and even his own father. The only romantic/sexual relationships in the show are heterosexual, and the only gem that ever has sexual relations does so with a man and then births a child.
The only real problem is that children do not see it this way. Children to whom the show is targeted see, "Oh, these characters have female voices and they are in love, so they are gay and that's okay."

(Rene Descartes) This show has its fair share of stupid gags, but that's not any different from Spongebob or Adventure Time or any of the other cartoons on air. Comparatively, I'd say that this show matures well and moves beyond most of its immature humor as the plot develops.

The last episode's moral boiled down to "stop putting others first and take care of yourself," which isn't the worst moral ever, but I think they handled it poorly. Ultimately, I find the morals of the show to be very Christian, and (up until the last episode) the main character's self-sacrificial nature and commitment to right conduct was especially good and endearing. I like how the problems addressed are more often than not emotional and psychological problems, such as envy, abandonment, despair, dependency, etc. The only problem with that is the ever-increasing self-diagnosed mental conditions among adolescents who see it as a quirk or some attribute that will add character depth.
