Hey Anon. God is not a happiness machine (even though some Charismatic folks might believe it). He doesn't have to give you a single thing - you don't deserve anything either way because of your sinful nature. But you know what. God gives you a lot of things already even though he could just not do it. He gives you faith in Him, the greatest gift of all. He gives you air to breathe and skin to protect you from rain and wind - there are some who don't receive that. You can pray to get a wife, and maybe you will. But always remember - the only thing unfair is that God gives us grace. Sometimes I myself get sad, I used to cry because of this subject. There are few Christians in my country and even fewer of them are eligible and go to a proper Church. It takes time, but God will teach you - he is the greatest Teacher there is. He will either teach you confidence and send you a girl that you deserve and that you will love, or he will teach you being content with solitude. Either way, remember that God is the way, girls can wait. I will pray for you to find a good Christian girl.

Don't beat yourself up friend. While I'm a tall lad with (from what people tell me) decent looks, I'm socially awkward as well and ultimately in the same boat as you. I'm pretty sure the women I meet expect me to be an extroverted Chad and are left disappointed when they find I'm shy, but I can't help it.

Well, beyond one's appearance or Facebook page, most of "everyone else" goes through numerous break-ups/divorces, unwanted pregnancies, alimony/child support payments, therapy for their poor life choices, and all sorts of other baggage by the age of 30, and by that age they're medicating themselves to forget their troubles - social awkwardness is a boon in that regard. To be blunt, I would just focus on self-improvement and limit your interactions with women to pleasantries for the sake of your mental well-being, which is basically what I've been doing for the last couple years. If a girl worth getting to know comes along, you'll be prepared.

I hope you can get a wife the right (Christian) way, but don't envy the average person in a relationship. Don't even envy many people in your churches and in relationships. Even some of them fornicated, did the dating game, and only "settled down" later after much "experimenting" (if that..many still don't truly settle down and eventually cheat or get divorced). And they never repented for it. They just thought once they settled down or started going to church, that that was enough "repentance". Even the supposed pastors and priests are guilty at times, especially in the West. It's a sick tradition for people to "sow their wild oats" and only play a more respectable part later.

Bolster yourself for a true fight against the whole world and stop wishing you had the things it offers. Seek first the Kingdom of God, and maybe a good wife will be a part of his plan too. But prioritize Christ first.

Lastly, if you think you're ugly or "uncomely" in some way (and I don't know or say you really are), then thank God for that too! Thank God for everything. Such people are tempted less. Weep for the man who has women falling over him right and left. He's susceptible to an onslaught of temptation. Very few good looking men or women pass the tests thrown their way.

I'm not talking about masculinity. I'm talking about "game" - which suggest promiscuity and experimenting and participating in a playing field of sorts. But that playing field itself is what will condemn people. The whole paradigm is ungodly and needs to be thrown out for a Christian. If they participate in it, they are of the world and will be on a fast track to hell in no time.

Also, for the record, I'm only targetting the word "game". I haven't looked at those blogs long enough to tell what their definition of it truly is. I can already see at the first entry that he's using John Wayne in Hondo as an illustration… which may seem quaint by modern standards, but I have my doubts even about John Wayne. He was another degenerate from Hollywood. None of these people are true Christian role models. This is how warped American society is, where they've been pozzed for decades, if not centuries. It's not just current post feminist culture that's un-Christian. The whole modern world - especially in terms of relationships - is trash. Even John Wayne was married three times and apparently in a few affairs. All of which are condemned by Jesus.
