I live in an area in the US were people are dying of the Virus.

The Novus Ordo Archbishop has forbidden receiving the Holy Eucharist on the tongue, which is part of the the Trad Catholic mass . We are given a prayer to say instead.

No word if he banned hand holding like the N.O. do.

We're also told we should stay home and not attend mass if we feel sick or think we may be sick, that it won't be a sin.

What's happening in your Church?

i just looked it up, only two dioceses have put restrictions, which entail reserving the chalice to the celebrant alone, communion ministers have to use hand sanitizer before distributing the eucharist and the laity aren't invited to exchange the greeting of peace during mass.

Please pray for us all, brothers - this thing is worse than any of us could ever have thought of, an unstable bioweapon possibly designed for depopulation got out, possibly accidentally, go to /pnd/ for many statistics, look up the videos, the articles - and draw your own conclusions, they'll probably be similar to mine. We've been in WWIII for a while now, as you may agree with me, but now we're all getting shot. Please pray…

I'm in a paradox here… Father once gave a sermon to not be a "survivalist" and try and survive a nuclear war. Working out the details of surviving a nuclear war is sort of my hobby.

But here the Archbishop seems to be taking precautions against exposure to this virus. Maybe that's just the difference between the thinking of different religious orders.

I would rather die with a clean soul than live longer and die in sin.

I live in an American metropolis. My church is one of the only Catholic churches that I’ve seen actually serve the wine at communion.

But for the past week or two they have been witholding the wine. Maybe this is the reason. Our Cardinal passed down a decree that we don’t have to shake hands at the saying of the peace (everyone just waves now).

Thanks for this thread OP, it’s good for us to discuss

Portugal's bishops also suggested hand Eucharist only and no sign of peace.

Second one great, first one not great.

Just got back from Mass. There was no Holy Water. The Bishop relented and allowed communion on the tongue.

Father's sermon was on how we should become saints. I don't see how I could do that: it's very hard not to offend God. And I have no idea what to make of Jorge Bergoglio saying that there are now sins against his goddess Gaia.

What do you suggest should be done then? As much as I would prefer to receive Communion on the tongue, I would also prefer that priests and faithful worshipers remain healthy.

Yeah. I go to an FSSP parish and the FSSP's attitude is "obedience but resist". The new Archbishop is a hard Core Novus Ordo, and the FSSP will do as the Archbishop says or he'll shut them down.

I'd rather no communion at now for a little while than the Archbishop shut them down forever.

IMHO, not even a Pope can contradict the Catechism of Trent, which says tongue only, but there it is.

Nothing wrong with continuing to survive, provided you aren't screwing others over. "Survivalists" will be the ones to restart civilization if things become really bad.

That gives you no right to bring down everyone else with you. I have no problem dying for my faith as well, but to have others suffer along with me just makes me think I'm doing something selfish. We should at least think of some kind of solution.

I suggest you pray, because without a vaccine, this virus will spread until everyone gets it.

It may be part of the Great Chastisement - God's will. We were told that it will come after the Great Apostasy of Rome.

I'd give a little more thought for eternal souls and a little less thought to this life. Try and have a good death. This exile ends for all of us, sooner or later.

Okay, so now we're doing

- no Holy Water

- no wine at communion

- no touching at the kiss of peace

- no shaking the priest's hand at the end of service

- (absolutely) no communion on tongue

We're encouraged to ensure our hands are flat so we're not getting hand-hand contact.

Personally, I would do all of these things if I could. Come on, this doesn't affect people my age.

Public Mass Canceled

Diocese of Seattle just canceled all public masses until further notice.

The Great Chastisement prophesied by Archbishop Fulton Sheen seems to be upon us. It's like he said; we need to live as if we my go a great while without the sacraments - even the sacrament of Extreme Unction.

The video points out the problem of the lose particles of the Sacred Host, but the other problem with taking the Host in the hand is that some folks pocket it and use it in the Satanic devil worship.

Kills boomers at higher percentages. It makes the balls fall off and damage the lungs of young male, so don't think you can just catch it and cough on boomers with impunity.

Also, say 1 act of contrition and 1 decade of the rosary for your lack of charity and disrespect for your elders which is against the 4th commandment.

Hey guys, just went to confession today and this is what happened. Only one priest was doing confessions in a booth. Two other priests were doing confessions outside on chairs facing the other way. I was hurried to this type of confession so I had no choice other than to walk away, and I wanted to clear mu sins. I at the very least positioned my chair so I didn't look at the priest. I also had to rush my confession, so I couldn't get into the details of my sins. I don't know what to make of it, thoughts? I'm in NYC by the way.

Theoretically* causes damage to the testes of males, if the disease progresses enough to cause kidney damage. This is absolutely a point of interest in covid research but people shilling this point just smacks of the people saying "Ebola melts your organs!!!" we get it, you want mad max

I am proud to be orthodox and to have left Catholicism.

Glory to God.

The Church of Christ keeps His commandment, commemorate the holy supper as He told us to do, have Faith in Him, doesn't fear for it's body (and knows Christ is the remedy for the body and for the mind), doesn't leave it's faithful without spiritual life, without the body and blood of Christ…

The roman church is showing it's true "faith" to the believers : not in Christ.

Begome, anons…

God bless you.

The orthodox church is mostly in Greece, Russia, around the Mediterranean Sea,… And in these country she doesn't stop liturgy.

Italy, Poland,… that are big Catholic countries have stopped serving Christ while the country that are truly orthodox haven't.

You have to do a good comparison, the orthodox Church of Poland is nothing (I bet it's westernized, oeucumenist, with only a few members and that no one really notice it. The center of orthodoxy still serves Christ while it's not the case for the Romans.

When it hits over there we'll see.

The orthodox church here isnt westernized, its composed solely of immigrants from the eastern europe.
