Jesus wasn't always talking about THE final consummation in a world-ending sense. Some Bible translations say things like "end of the world", but the Greek is actually "aeon". End of the Age. He's talking about an end of an order of things - and replacing it with a new age of his kingdom (the Age of the Church).
When Revelation says "Things which must shortly come to pass" (Rev 1:1) and when Jesus says on the Mount of Olives: "This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened" (Matthew 24:34), he is talking about the destruction of Jerusalem. When his disciples pointed at the wonders of the Temple of Jerusalem, he warned them, "“Do you see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” It's for this reason that the high priests were angered the most and why Jesus was crucified. Jesus said their actions would be judged within a generation, and that's what happened. Some of his own disciples were still alive in AD 70, when Jerusalem fell.

I remember that in bible. and it's wired . because I don't find anything like that in another chapters of bible
but that type of comparison was use often in Hindu - buddhism. to compare the time in heaven - hell and cycle of the world

It's not a metaphor, sooner is just longer than what we usually think in this context

It's not really necessary to have a theme/furry persona on this thread if you have a question. It comes across a bit cringe. Though, this isn't the first time we had a alice rabbit image spammer on 8chan/8kun and they seem more hostile then, than here so it's good to see you're making progress.
This is one of the easier concepts to grasp for many Christian denominations from my understanding due to us being told we will not know the time this will occur as seen in Matthew 25:13. If God is eternal, then "soon" could mean anywhere from next 100, or 10,000 years, or even longer. The only major prerequisites I could think of at the moment that would limit this is that there'll have to be an earth, and people on it for the event to occur.

but Jesus love furry :) he's even use Rabbit as his symbol
then why god don't tell human in language that we can understand exactly instead using the word "soon" in his own understand ?.
When Rome was fallen. people claim it's because they are too late to accept being christian .
and in middle age people believe they live near the end of the world in bible.
the black death - crusade - discover "new world" and 2 world war . I don't see anything that's become the end of the world at all.
the world end mean all suffering will be gone. maybe that's why people want it
but it's will never end.

There are no Rabbit symbols in Christianity. The "Easter Bunny" is some silliness from Germans that got mixed up with a much older tradition with easter eggs.
The tradition is about Mary Magdalene, who was humored and invited to dinner to speak to Romans. As she was sitting at a table, she told the story of the Risen Christ. The Emperor Tiberius said, "This Jesus is no more risen than that egg in your hand is red." And then suddenly the egg in her hand turned red.
But bunnies have nothing to do with it.

yes . like Valentine day - Christmas - happy new years - even name of months and day
because christ religion have nothing about this. and to be harmony and love others like Jesus said they are open to accept others .

This is older than St. Valentine. And Easter is the THE most important Holiday in the Church. Not a mere feast day for a saint. It's about Christ's Crucifixion and Resurrection. Not cartoon animals.
New Year's has nothing to do with the Church either. The New Year used to be in September, for example.
You're confusing a lot of Western stuff with the Church. They have little to do with each other.

The end is coming, look at how man no longer has tradition and by extension spirituality as his guiding light, moral, political and spiritual degredation everywhere civilization exists. No time in recorded history has it been worse on such a scale except perhaps Sodom and Gomorrah but that was on a much smaller scale. The enchantment of the pre modern age cannot be recovered, it is only downhill.

Do you know ? Almost all religion always said everything will be worst in the future . this predict are happen in hindu - buddhism - greece . islam etc.
why? because if the future is surely bright then it's no need for religion anymore.
if there are an end coming it's the end of Era. more than the end of the world. the end of era mean the end of culture we know. our values . human like us. will be gone and replace by Genetic engineering Human , the cyborg , The A.I. that's the real meaning of the end of the world for me

out of the animals the symbols used for christ is either a fish representing the greek acronym that Christ is the Son of God or the lamb that signifies Christs ultimate sacrifice at the Cross.

This only shows how little you know about Christianity, which is unfortunate. No where in the bible is Jesus Crucifixion related to rabbits.
>and in middle age people believe they live near the end of the world in bible.
the black death - crusade - discover "new world" and 2 world war . I don't see anything that's become the end of the world at all.
Well again, we would not know the hour of this event, Matthew 25:13. People guessing and being wrong in the past ironically lends to this verse.

Did you know? The sun will eventually engulf the earth, the blackhole in our galaxy will likely eventually engulf this solar system, and eventually the universe will likely expand & cool down to the point where it'll likely be unable to create new suns. The future is guaranteed to be bright, literally considering what's will likely happen to the suns. To assume otherwise would be pretty gullible, my friend.
>if there are an end coming it's the end of Era. more than the end of the world. the end of era mean the end of culture we know. our values . human like us. will be gone and replace by Genetic engineering Human , the cyborg , The A.I. that's the real meaning of the end of the world for me
I wouldn't rule out these are possibilities either, but I don't see how personal assumption of what might happen in the future would rule out religious push for global unification.

This is what I get for trying to message on a train. Also fuddled third response of:
>"The future is guaranteed to be bright, literally considering what's will likely happen to the suns."
and meant to say.
>"The future is likely guaranteed not to be bright, literally considering what will likely happen to the suns"
