Yes, I do pray for His help. But whenever I have to interact with other people, in phone or in person, I can't help but feel anxious with sweaty palms, racing heart beat, foggy mind etc.

Are there any relevant verses in the bible or other sources that could help? I'm just sick and tired of it and it unironically ruined my whole life.

You're asking for a miracle anon. I am not saying the Lord won't grant it, but maybe there are some steps you can take, with His help, to improve your condition. I was pretty much the same before, and I started improving when I decided to completely turn my life around.

Few examples:

>stop porn

>stop masturbation

>actively try to increase social circle

>go out at every occasion, never miss a party/anything social

>go to confession regularly (once every 2-3 weeks)

>get /fit/ (really fit, not just 20 min bulls— run)

Once I did all of these, guess what: interacting with people was easier than ever. I didn't focus on the interaction itself, yet it improved immensely. All these may sound hard to accomplish, and I myself am halfway through, but the key according to me is

>baby steps

>don't neglect any aspect of life (i.e. don't go all out on lifting while neglecting everything else)

Here's the verse you're looking for:

Luke 12:22-34 Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)

Do Not Worry

22 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat, nor about your body, what you shall put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his span of life?[a] 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin;[b] yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass which is alive in the field today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O men of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be of anxious mind. 30 For all the nations of the world seek these things; and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his[c] kingdom, and these things shall be yours as well.

32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Jesus will help, and part of his help lead you here. But the church offers other remedies and tools for this type of spiritual warfare

>The best thing for you to do just go and sit in a church for a few minutes as many days a week as you can. Just sit in front of a tabernacle, even if it's just for 5-10 minutes a day.

>Go to daily mass if you can, the servies are usually just 30 minutes. You might be the only young person but that's okay. Nobody is judging.

>Read the bible daily. Use Laudette app or another lectionary app if you just want to start with a brief reading. When you're ready for full books and chapters, start with the Gospels, here's an online version: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+1&version=NABRE

>Keep holy imagse on your phone - pictures from the inside of chapels and cathedrals. Try to look at these when you get anxious, or think about the inside of a church.

These all helped me enormously I also reccommend:

>Joining a gym and exercising every day

>Changing your diet (brown rice is helpful) make sure you eat 3 meals a day and never skip breakfast

>Avoid social media. If you need it, try to only use it once a day.

The best advice I ever got about my anxiety was from a professor who suffered from it when he was young. He simply said "the one thing you have to understand….. eventually, it goes away." And he was right.

Keep praying, worshiping, reading your Bible, but most of all, talking with him. I have had social anxiety for a long time, but God has helped me significantly. I have come a long way and it's all thanks to God.

The answer lies within you, you just have to face it every day. God will help, and reveal what you need to know with time.

the worst part about being socially anxious and catholic is that you'll have to confess to masturbation over and over again. it ends up feeling very disingenuous, its one thing to be disciplined about it and another thing entirely to never do it. it doesn't seem plausible to me to ever find a wife. the larpers or reddit cultists here who apparently never masturbate are doing damage to their bodies.

having faith will add to your confidence and lend you strength. it may take a long time. but ultimately its up to us getting more and more used to social interaction.

Are you serious about making it to heaven or not? If you are, then you make a conscious effort to stop doing it or else your confession is in vain. Even if you believe the bogus nonsense about chastity being somehow harmful to your body, again, is your body more important than your salvation? God calls us to fast from time to time, do you ignore that as well?

I have anxiety issues too. It's destroying me piece by piece.

I've been using hypnosis tapes that focus on relieving anxiety. Started a few days ago, it really helps- after listening to it, I can breathe clearly for about 20-30 minutes, until I start thinking about the things that trigger my anxiety, and I start falling back again. I think it will get better with time- I just need to habituate a different way of thinking.

God bless, I sincerely pray and trust you make it out of this.
