Well, you could make it legal for priests to have families but also make it legal and socially acceptable to castrate themself. This way you'd also see who's the most devoted and you'd prevent more sexual abuse cases.

Because BEING homosexual is not a sin. ACTING homosexual is a sin. If you are heterosexual, it's not a sin until you actually have sex with someone who isn't your wife. If you are homosexual, it's not a sin until you actually have sex with someone who isn't your wife.

That, I think, was the crux of what Anon was going for. The "treated with dignity" bit strikes me as the byproduct of, perhaps, having read one too many James Martin tweets, but the underlying message is obviously pure.
